Epson congratulates the winners of the 16th Epson International Pano Awards, the world’s largest competition for panoramic photography, while highlighting strong participation from Southeast Asia.
The Epson International Pano Awards remains the largest global competition for panoramic photography, showcasing panoramic photographers from around the world. Southeast Asia maintained a strong presence following the inclusion of Epson Southeast Asia as a joint major sponsor in 2024. Singapore’s William Chua won The Pano Awards Southeast Asia Open Photographer of the Year 2025 Award. His winning image, Wildebeest, captured the movement and drama of the iconic migration through a creative panoramic format.
“I have witnessed the wildebeest migration countless times, and it never ceases to amaze me,” said Chua. “For this image, what caught my attention was a lone wildebeest turning back amidst the frenzy. In that instant, I knew that was the shot I wanted.”
“This is the second year that Epson Southeast Asia has sponsored The Epson International Pano Awards, and we’re delighted to see strong participation from Southeast Asian photographers,” said Siew Jin Kiat, Regional Managing Director, Epson Southeast Asia. “This reflects the creativity and growing influence of our region’s visual storytellers, and Epson Southeast Asia is proud to support the thriving community of creatives by championing the power of print as a visual medium that preserves panoramic photography in its most dynamic form.”
Epson Southeast Asia and Epson Australia, as joint major sponsors, contributed prizes including the Epson SureColor P5360, P5330 and P906 photo printers, as well as the Epson EB-1795F ultra-slim projector. These professional tools offer exceptional colour accuracy and print longevity, helping photographers bring their creative visions to life.
Southeast Asian Photographers Shine Globally
This year, Southeast Asian photographers demonstrated remarkable creativity, capturing both local and international landscapes through panoramic storytelling. Vietnamese photographers secured 6 of the 10 finalist spots in the Southeast Asia Open Photographer of the Year 2025 category, showcasing the region’s growing influence in the field.

Thailand’s Athimeth Lerdkkitveruj explored the sweeping sand dunes of Namibia, using light, scale, and composition to transform a remote desert scene into a cinematic experience. Together, these finalists highlight the technical skill and creative ambition emerging from Southeast Asia, raising the profile of the region on the global panoramic photography stage.
Panoramic Photography Expands Its Global Reach
Competition Curator David Evans noted the increasing diversity of entries: “Each year, the boundaries of panoramic photography are pushed further, and 2025 has proven no exception. Following the strong participation from Southeast Asia and the continued support of Epson Singapore alongside Epson Australia, the global reach of the awards has never been stronger. The diversity, creativity and technical excellence on display reaffirm the panoramic format as one of the most powerful storytelling mediums in contemporary photography.”

Now in its 16th year, The Epson International Pano Awards continues to celebrate creative vision and technical excellence worldwide. Its judging panel includes top panoramic photographers and industry professionals, solidifying the competition as a respected platform for the craft.
