Sometimes a quick staycation is all it takes to recharge from a busy week. While out-of-town trips are always tempting, not everyone has the luxury of taking extended vacations. Fortunately, there are places within Metro Manila that offer the perfect escape without requiring long hours on the road. One of those places is F1 Hotel Manila, conveniently located in the heart of Bonifacio Global City.
Over the years, F1 Hotel Manila has become one of our favorite staycation destinations in BGC. Its central location, comfortable accommodations, welcoming staff, and proximity to shopping, dining, and entertainment options make it an excellent choice whenever we need a quick escape without leaving the city.
During our recent weekend staycation, we had the opportunity to experience the hotel’s newly renovated City Suite, explore the refreshed à la carte menu at F All Day Dining created in partnership with Enderun Colleges, and spend a memorable Sunday afternoon at Sundown Spritz & Mimosas at The Canary. From good food and relaxing amenities to live music, night swimming, and a lively foam party, it turned out to be a weekend well spent.
Security & Comfort
We arrived at F1 Hotel Manila at around noon on a Saturday and, as always, were welcomed warmly by the hotel’s accommodating staff. Check-in was smooth and hassle-free, allowing us to begin our staycation right away.
Since we had not had lunch yet, we headed straight to F All Day Dining after checking in. The staff kindly informed us that they would bring our luggage up to our room so we could proceed directly to lunch without having to worry about our bags. It was a simple gesture, but one that reflected the attentive service we have consistently experienced during our stays at F1 Hotel Manila.
What stood out even more during this visit was the genuine hospitality shown by the staff. As returning guests, it was nice to be recognized by some of the team members, with one staff member warmly welcoming us back to the hotel. Small moments like these make a stay feel more personal and remind guests that they are valued.
Another memorable moment happened during lunch at F All Day Dining. After finishing our meal, we accidentally left a pair of earbuds on the table. Fortunately, one of the restaurant staff noticed them immediately and made sure they were safely returned. The staff member remembered where we had been seated and personally informed us about the item we had left behind.
While it may seem like a small incident, it speaks volumes about the honesty, attentiveness, and professionalism of the team. In an industry where guest experience is everything, these thoughtful actions leave a lasting impression and further reinforce why we continue to enjoy staying at F1 Hotel Manila.

Our Room
For this staycation, we stayed in one of F1 Hotel Manila’s newly renovated City Suites.
Measuring approximately 44 to 45 square meters, the City Suite offers a spacious and comfortable environment for guests looking for a relaxing stay in the heart of BGC. The room features stylish interiors and thoughtful amenities including complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat-screen television, coffee and tea-making facilities, bathrobes, toiletries, an in-room safe, minibar, and room service.
After lunch, we returned to our room at around 2 PM to unpack, relax, and enjoy the newly renovated space. The room felt fresh, modern, and comfortable, making it easy to settle in for the weekend.
One thing we have always loved about staying at F1 Hotel Manila is its location. Landmark is just a short walk away, making quick grocery runs incredibly convenient. We also discovered that there is a nearby Watsons store within walking distance, perfect for picking up last-minute essentials. Bonifacio High Street is likewise just a few minutes away on foot.
This accessibility is one of the biggest reasons why we enjoy staying at F1 Hotel Manila. Everything you need is practically within reach.
Culinary Delights at F All Day Dining
Our staycation officially began with lunch at F All Day Dining.
The buffet offered a wide selection of dishes ranging from local favorites to international offerings. There was something for everyone, and one thing that immediately caught our attention was the seafood selection. The shrimp was definitely a highlight and quickly became one of our favorites.
As always, our buffet experience at F1 Hotel Manila did not disappoint. The food was satisfying, the selection was generous, and the dining experience was enjoyable from start to finish.
The following day started with a quick workout at the hotel’s gym before returning to our room for a hot shower. Afterwards, it was time to explore F All Day Dining’s refreshed à la carte menu, created in partnership with Enderun Colleges.
The new menu highlights Refined Comfort Cuisine, combining familiar flavors with elevated techniques and thoughtful presentation.
Among the dishes we tried was the Gambas Al Ajillo, featuring perfectly cooked shrimp sautéed in garlic-infused olive oil with just the right amount of heat. It was flavorful, aromatic, and easily one of our favorite dishes from the meal.
We also enjoyed the Goi Gai, a refreshing Vietnamese chicken salad tossed in a bright citrus vinaigrette that offered a nice balance to the richer dishes on the table.
The Osso Buco Gremolata showcased tender slow-braised veal shank finished with citrus-parsley gremolata, while the Texas BBQ Pork Ribs delivered smoky, sweet flavors with meat so tender it practically fell off the bone.
Our personal favorite, however, was the Crispy Bagnet Kare-Kare. The crispy pork belly paired beautifully with the rich and creamy peanut sauce, while the bagoong added the perfect savory contrast. It was comforting, indulgent, and exactly the kind of dish that keeps you coming back for another bite.
The refreshed menu successfully delivers on its promise of refined comfort cuisine, offering familiar favorites elevated through thoughtful preparation and presentation.
Sundown Spritz & Mimosas At The Canary
After lunch, we headed to Bonifacio High Street to meet up with some friends before inviting them to join us for Sundown Spritz & Mimosas at The Canary.
Located beside the pool area, The Canary provided the perfect setting for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was laid-back yet vibrant, creating an ideal environment for catching up with friends while enjoying food, drinks, and music.
Sundown Spritz & Mimosas is designed around the idea of slowing down and enjoying the moment. Refreshing spritzes and chilled mimosas set the tone while guests gathered around tables filled with conversation, laughter, and good company.
The live DJ played a mix of chill house and tropical beats that perfectly complemented the afternoon vibe. The music added energy to the event without ever becoming overwhelming, allowing guests to relax and enjoy the atmosphere at their own pace.
One of our favorite parts of the experience was the seafood selection. The fresh oysters were incredibly enjoyable and paired wonderfully with the drinks. We also loved the shrimp cocktails, which quickly became one of our go-to bites throughout the afternoon.
As the sun slowly began to set, the poolside atmosphere became even more beautiful. Surrounded by the BGC skyline, good music, refreshing drinks, and great company, it felt like a mini resort escape right in the middle of the city.
Things to Do On-site
One of the things we enjoy most about staying at F1 Hotel Manila is the variety of activities available both inside the hotel and around BGC.
At around 8 PM, we went for a run around Bonifacio Global City. For runners, BGC remains one of the best places in Metro Manila to train. The streets are well-lit, the sidewalks are wide, and the running community is friendly and welcoming. While there is a dedicated running path near the hotel, we personally prefer running around the surrounding streets because the routes are scenic, safe, and enjoyable.
After returning to the hotel, we freshened up before our scheduled full-body massage later that evening. Despite staying at F1 Hotel Manila numerous times over the years, it was actually our first time trying the hotel’s massage service.
The experience exceeded our expectations. The therapist applied firm and consistent pressure that helped relieve muscle tension from the run. It was incredibly relaxing and proved to be the perfect way to end the evening.
Following the massage, we returned to our room and enjoyed one of the best parts of staying at F1 Hotel Manila: sleep. Longtime readers of our previous staycation articles may already know how much we rave about the hotel’s pillows. Thankfully, they remain just as soft and comfortable as ever. As expected, we slept like a baby.
The next morning, we visited the hotel’s gym for a workout. While not the largest fitness facility, it was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a productive training session. We particularly enjoyed the view and the fact that we practically had the gym to ourselves during our workout.
The fun continued later that day during Sundown Spritz & Mimosas. One of the biggest highlights of the event was the foam party and night swimming experience.
Taking a dip in the pool while enjoying live music, city views, and the lively atmosphere created a unique experience that felt more like a resort getaway than a city staycation. Watching the foam fill the pool area while guests danced, swam, and enjoyed the music added another layer of fun to an already enjoyable afternoon.
With the BGC skyline serving as the backdrop, the combination of night swimming, live DJ entertainment, and the foam party created some of the most Instagram-worthy moments of the entire weekend.
