Acer ambassadors SB19 and G22 take Taiwan by storm

Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin of SB19, along with AJ, Alfea, and Jaz of G22, recently visited the Acer Headquarters in Taiwan as part of their activities as brand ambassadors for Acer Philippines. The visit was a significant milestone in their ongoing collaboration with the brand, highlighting the increasing influence and international reach of both SB19 and G22. To recognize their efforts in promoting Acer in the Philippine market, Acer awarded special honorary employee titles to both groups, expressing gratitude for their valuable contribution.

While in Taiwan, SB19 made a special guest appearance on “Atom Boyz 2,” an idol survival show that showcases rising talents in the entertainment industry. During their time on the show, SB19 members Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin had the opportunity to experience local Taiwanese culture firsthand. Accompanied by He Yankai, Huang Chongjun, and Li Jiahao—three idols on the show—SB19 explored the bustling Shilin Night Market, a popular tourist destination in Taipei known for its variety of food and fun activities.

At the night market, the members of SB19 sampled an array of traditional Taiwanese street food, including candied haws, chicken cake, stinky tofu, and sweet potato balls. In addition to indulging in these local delicacies, the group also participated in various games and activities, immersing themselves in the vibrant night market atmosphere. This cultural exchange allowed SB19 to connect with Taiwanese fans and the local community in a meaningful way.

SB19 and G22 awarded special honorary Acer employees

Like SB19, G22 is also set to make a guest appearance in “Atom Boyz 2,” expanding their presence in Taiwan’s entertainment scene. Additionally, the girl group is scheduled to perform on the popular variety show “Super Entourage,” hosted by the father-daughter duo Jacky and Sandy Wu. Jacky Wu, a well-known Taiwanese TV show host and singer, is a household name in Taiwan, and the appearance of G22 on his show is expected to further boost the group’s popularity and exposure in the region.

This opportunity marks an exciting chapter for G22 as they continue to make waves in the international music scene, showcasing their talent and charisma to new audiences. Their performances in these shows demonstrate the growing global appeal of Filipino pop groups and their ability to connect with diverse cultures.

“The visit of SB19 and G22 to Taiwan was a huge success, showing how limitless their potential is. Their songs and popularity have reached other countries too. SB19 and G22’s visit to Taiwan also marked the beginning of a special project for Acer, set to launch in the near future. “One of the reasons why our ambassadors visited Taiwan is for a very special project coming out soon. Please expect big things from us this holiday season,” shared Princess Laosantos, Senior Marketing Manager of Acer Philippines. While details of the project remain under wraps, anticipation is building among fans and consumers alike, hinting at an exciting new collaboration between Acer and their brand ambassadors.

In August, Acer celebrated its annual Acer Day event, with SB19 and G22 taking center stage. Known as the “Kings of P-pop,” SB19’s Pablo teamed up with G22 for a powerful rendition of “Limitless,” the theme song for Acer Day 2024. The song encapsulates the message of boundless potential and growth, themes that resonate deeply with the youth and embody Acer’s forward-thinking brand ethos.

The performance was a highlight of the event and further cemented SB19 and G22’s status as influential figures in the Philippine entertainment industry. Their collaboration on “Limitless” also reinforced the message of Acer’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of technology and personal development, aligning perfectly with the brand’s core values.

Acer continues to dominate the Philippine personal computer market. According to the latest market research data, Acer secured an impressive 36% market share in August, maintaining its leadership position in the industry. From January to August 2024, Acer held a 32% total market share, demonstrating its strong market competitiveness and customer loyalty in the region.

The brand’s notebook computers, in particular, performed remarkably well, achieving nearly a 40% market share in August alone. This achievement underscores Acer’s position as a leader in the Philippine computer market and highlights the effectiveness of its marketing strategies, including its partnerships with influential pop groups like SB19 and G22.
