Acer Remains the Undisputed PC Market Leader in the Philippines in 2025

Acer has once again proven its dominance in the Philippine personal computer industry by securing the top position in Q1 2025. According to data released by market research firm GfK, Acer achieved a 35.7% total market share, firmly placing it ahead of competitors. The brand captured a 34.2% share in consumer notebooks and recorded an outstanding 40.6% share in gaming laptops, reinforcing its leadership across multiple segments of the market.

The momentum continued in April 2025, with Acer’s notebook segment reaching a market share of 36%, further solidifying its top position. This consistent performance highlights the effectiveness of Acer’s strategies in a competitive and rapidly evolving industry.

Much of Acer’s sustained success can be attributed to a carefully crafted and multi-faceted marketing approach. Central to this strategy is the company’s emphasis on building strong connections with its audience through strategic partnerships and highly visible brand ambassadors. These initiatives have been instrumental in extending Acer’s reach across the Philippines while enhancing brand visibility and relevance.

A standout example of this approach is Acer’s long-running collaboration with SB19, widely recognized as the “Kings of P-pop.” This partnership has become a cornerstone of Acer’s marketing efforts, particularly in appealing to the younger generation. SB19’s strong fan base and commanding social media presence have enabled Acer to stay attuned to youth culture and digital trends, ensuring that the brand remains top-of-mind among consumers.

The relationship between Acer and SB19 goes beyond a conventional endorsement deal. Their collaboration began even before the group was officially named brand ambassadors during Acer Day and as endorsers for Acer and Acerpure in 2021. In addition to the concert, the group took part in several exclusive activities with the brand.

SB19 visited Acer’s Taipei headquarters, where they were welcomed as “one-day employees.” This immersive experience allowed the members to interact with Acer’s latest innovations and better understand the brand’s direction and vision. It also served as a unique way to bridge the gap between fan engagement and corporate storytelling.

During their visit, Acer Chairman and CEO Jason Chen, along with Pan-Asia Pacific President Andrew Hou, personally met with SB19. In a symbolic gesture of appreciation and recognition, each member of the group was presented with a Predator Helios 18 gaming laptop—one of Acer’s most powerful devices in its gaming lineup.

The day also included a hands-on visit to Acer’s product experience center. Here, SB19 explored the brand’s latest gaming laptops and tested the FreeSense Ring, a smart wearable developed by Acerpure. Further cementing their collaborative spirit, the group joined a design workshop to brainstorm creative ideas for future laptop aesthetics and compact home appliances, providing valuable insights from a pop culture perspective.

Now marking its fifth year, the Acer-SB19 partnership continues to thrive. Both parties anticipate more collaborative projects that push boundaries and deliver value not only to fans but also to the broader tech consumer base in the Philippines and beyond.
