AirAsia has officially launched its partnership with HYROX APAC, marking a collaboration that brings together fitness, lifestyle and travel to connect communities across Asean and beyond. The partnership reflects a shared vision of inclusivity, accessibility and the power of community, positioning both brands at the intersection of sports, mobility and meaningful experiences.
Built on a common belief in creating opportunities for people to move, grow and connect, the collaboration supports the region’s rapidly expanding fitness movement. By aligning travel with sport and lifestyle, AirAsia and HYROX aim to make participation in major fitness events across Asia Pacific more seamless and accessible for athletes and fans alike.
Supporting the Growth of the Fitness Lifestyle Movement in Asia Pacific
The partnership enables HYROX athletes, participants and supporters to travel more conveniently to key host cities across the region. Through AirAsia’s extensive network, travel becomes an enabler of shared ambition and community-driven experiences, allowing participants to focus on performance while enjoying integrated travel solutions.
Amanda Woo, Chief Commercial Officer of AirAsia X, highlighted the airline group’s long-standing commitment to sports and community engagement.
“Sports has always been a huge part of AirAsia’s DNA as we uphold our ‘Dare to Dream’ value. Since our inception, we have partnered with renowned global sporting platforms, from Asean football to the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games to Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and our very own AirAsia RedRun which we introduced last year. Our partnership with HYROX comes at the right time, as fitness becomes a global lifestyle movement. With AirAsia’s network spanning over 130 destinations and AirAsia MOVE as a one-stop platform for flights and hotels, we can offer seamless travel experiences that bring people closer to the sports they love. Through this partnership with HYROX, we look forward to continuing our mission to bring communities together.”
Her statement reinforces how the collaboration aligns with AirAsia’s broader strategy of supporting sports, wellness and community-focused initiatives across the region.
Community-Driven Initiatives and Regional Activation Plans
Under the partnership, AirAsia and HYROX will roll out a series of community-driven initiatives and on-ground activations that extend beyond race day. These efforts are designed to engage the wider fitness community while highlighting the role of travel in supporting active lifestyles.
AirAsia is also collaborating with selected HYROX Training Club gyms to maintain a strong connection with the HYROX community at a grassroots level. Key focus markets include Osaka in Japan, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Incheon in South Korea, with additional destinations across the region to be supported under the partnership.
To further enhance accessibility, all participants registered for selected HYROX races partnered with AirAsia in 2026 will receive an exclusive 10 percent discount on flights within a designated period during their initial registration with HYROX. This initiative allows athletes and fans to better plan their travel while enjoying the full HYROX race experience.
Strengthening HYROX’s Presence Across Key Markets
Gary Wan, Managing Director of HYROX APAC, emphasized the importance of the partnership in expanding HYROX’s reach and strengthening its community across Asia Pacific.
“HYROX is more than a race, it is a lifestyle and sport built around community, consistency and shared ambition. Partnering with AirAsia allows us to better support our athletes and fans by making travel across the region more accessible, while strengthening HYROX’s presence in key markets.”
His remarks underline how travel accessibility plays a vital role in sustaining the growth of mass-participation fitness events throughout the region.
Co-Branded Aircraft Livery and Major 2026 HYROX Events
During the official announcement event, AirAsia and HYROX unveiled a special co-branded aircraft livery themed “Keep Moving, Keep Rising.” The livery represents more than a visual milestone. It reflects a shared belief in movement, progress and the ability of travel to inspire and connect fitness communities across and beyond Asean.
A major highlight of the collaboration will take place in 2026, when AirAsia becomes the Title Partner for two flagship HYROX events in the region. These include AirAsia HYROX Jakarta and AirAsia HYROX Kuala Lumpur, both of which will mark their debut as host cities.
AirAsia HYROX Jakarta is scheduled for 6 to 7 June 2026 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE). AirAsia HYROX Kuala Lumpur will follow in December 2026. These events are expected to welcome thousands of athletes and spectators, transforming race weekends into dynamic, fitness-led travel experiences.
Driving Sports and Lifestyle Travel Across Borders
Beyond these headline events, AirAsia will continue to support additional HYROX races throughout the 2026 season. This includes integrated travel experiences and community-focused initiatives to be announced later in the year, reinforcing the shared commitment to connecting fitness communities across borders.
HYROX has established a strong global following through its mass-participation fitness races. Across Asia Pacific, the brand has staged events in 10 cities and attracted more than 196,000 participants to date. This growth reflects the region’s increasing interest in fitness, wellness and experiential sports.
The AirAsia-HYROX partnership aligns with the continued rise of sports and lifestyle travel, positioning both brands at the center of fitness, community and mobility. United by a shared mission to empower communities and make meaningful experiences more accessible, AirAsia and HYROX aim to inspire purposeful travel across the region.
