By running a quick diagnostic test, it assesses your device’s condition and provides a real-time, transparent estimate so you know exactly what credit you will get before you go to the store.
How to Avail the BoxTrade Service
Availing BoxTrade is easy with two main options: in-store or online, both using the CompAsia Customer App.
In-Store Trade-In Process:
- Download the CompAsia Customer App from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Visit any Beyond the Box store and scan the QR code or enter the store code [ask the store staff for the code] in the app.
- Follow the app’s instructions to complete a quick diagnostic test on your device. This checks important features like internet connectivity, Bluetooth, location services, screen functions, and biometric security such as Face ID or Touch ID. Completing all steps is important to get the best trade-in value.
- Back up your data and reset your device to factory settings to protect your personal information.
- The app generates a digital credit based on your device’s condition, which you can immediately use as a discount toward the purchase of a new gadget.
- Pay any remaining balance with cash, debit, credit card, or installment plans.
- Take home your new device the same day.
Online Trade-In Process:
- Download the CompAsia Customer App and log in with your phone number or email.
- Select “Start Trade-in” and complete the diagnostic test on your device remotely.
- Schedule a courier pickup for your device. The courier verifies your device’s condition to confirm the trade-in value.
- If the verified value differs from the initial quote, you can choose to proceed or cancel.
- Once confirmed, your trade-in credit is applied toward the purchase of a new gadget at Beyond the Box.
Important Details
BoxTrade accepts all brands and models of working iOS and Android smartphones, tablets, laptops, and Apple Watches. Devices with minor screen defects or network locks are also accepted but may have lower trade-in values. Devices must be functional to qualify, though even password-locked devices are accepted with adjusted pricing.
