Known as the biggest capsule toy festival in the Philippines, this three-day event brings together thousands of collectors and enthusiasts for an unforgettable Gashapon experience. The festival features a jaw-dropping setup of over 1,000 Gashapon machine faces, the largest-ever installation of its kind in the country. Located at the Ground Level of the Mega Fashion Hall, this pop-up event is open from 10 AM to 10 PM daily and offers free admission, making it easily accessible for fans of all ages. This is the biggest Gashapon setup in the Philippines to date, and it’s an experience that collectors can’t afford to miss.
One of the most exciting aspects of the Gashapon Festival is that new items drop here first. Be among the first to score fresh releases before they arrive in other branches. Whether you’re looking for exclusive items, rare collectibles, or special surprises, there’s something for everyone at this event. Special event tokens are required to play the machines, which are different from regular store tokens, so be sure to purchase them onsite before you dive into the fun.
When I visited the festival on its first day last Friday, May 9, I had the chance to grab some fantastic items. I scored Ryoga Hibiki and Akane Tendo from my all-time favorite anime Ranma ½. I still need to go back later to complete my set with the remaining characters. I also picked up a Bandai Gashapon Insects capsule, which I think might spark a new collection for me. Along with these, I found a few treasures for my niece Arkisha, including some adorable items that I know she’ll love. Other finds included a Godzilla figure, a Looney Tunes personal marker charm, and even more surprises that made my visit extra special.
One of the highlights of my visit was picking up the exclusive mini Gashapon machine—a special item available only at the event for ₱4,990. This exclusive machine is a must-have for any collector and is a fantastic addition to my Gashapon collection.
