In an unprecedented gathering of health and fitness aficionados, Gatorade reinforces its stance as the leading hydration drink that caters to the health-conscious consumers through Gatorade No Sugar when it broke the Guinness World Record for the largest aerobic weight training class.
The record-breaking event, aptly dubbed Gatorade No Sugar Sweat Fest, gathered over a thousand participants at the SM MOA grounds in Pasay City. The record to beat was 978 and after the official count, 1,308 participants set a new World Record.
Leading the pack was no less than multi-awarded actress and the face of Gatorade No Sugar, Kathryn Bernardo. A fitness enthusiast herself, Kathryn confessed that she could not have asked for a better collaboration than with Gatorade No Sugar.
“I am very honored to be a part of the Gatorade team,” she enthused. “I move a lot so Gatorade No Sugar is the perfect companion whenever I break a sweat from various physical activities because it keeps me well-hydrated and makes exercising so much fun. Aside from enjoying Gatorade No Sugar because it has no sugar and no calories, it also tastes really good!”
Along with Kathryn, the participants were given a Gatorade No Sugar sweatshirt that revealed a secret message as the shirt got soaked in sweat. The message highlighted the importance of proper hydration when engaging in sports, fitness activities, and general active lifestyle.
“The truth is, we lose more than water when we sweat from doing physical activities,” says Ray Philip Pine, PepsiCo Marketing Director. “We also lose electrolytes and other important minerals such as sodium and potassium that are essential in helping us function at our best. Drinking Gatorade No Sugar rehydrates and replenishes the body with all the electrolytes it needs without sugar and calories.”
Hydrating with Gatorade leaves the body fueled and energized to perform at its peak. On top of that, it has no sugar and calories, making it the ideal drink for health-conscious and active people.
Aside from setting a new World Record, the festival also featured coaches and fitness experts who shared insights on hydration and wellness. Some of the partners invited were the Gatorade Sports Science Institute and the Philippine Society of Nutritionist-Dietitians.
“The Sweat Fest is indeed a milestone not just for Gatorade No Sugar but for the country,” Pine adds. “Not only we were able to prove that we could set a Guinness world record by gathering like-minded individuals; more importantly, we were able to impart the value of proper hydration with fitness enthusiasts, which is, more often than not, overlooked by many.”
Gatorade No Sugar comes in two thirst-quenching flavors: Citrus Quench and Blue Bolt. Now available in leading supermarkets, convenience stores, and online shopping platforms nationwide.
