Grab Philippines is giving users more ways to save by expanding how they can earn and redeem GrabCoins across everyday rides, food orders, grocery purchases, and cashless payments.
Through eligible transactions and selected in-app activities, Grab users can earn GrabCoins and redeem them for vouchers or discounts on eligible GrabCar rides, GrabFood orders, GrabMart purchases, and in-store payments. The expanded ways to earn and use GrabCoins give users more opportunities to make their everyday Grab transactions more rewarding.
GrabCoins can be earned through eligible GrabCar bookings, GrabFood and GrabMart orders, GrabPay transactions, and selected activities within the Grab app. Depending on the transaction or activity, users can accumulate GrabCoins that can later be used for eligible rewards and purchases.
Earn more GrabCoins with Grab
All Grab users can earn GrabCoins by completing eligible transactions and participating in selected in-app activities. The available ways to earn include making an Advanced Booking or Group Ride, hosting a GrabFood group order, ordering during special periods, and shopping from participating grocery and pharmacy categories on GrabMart.
These options give Grab users multiple ways to accumulate GrabCoins while using services available through the Grab app. Rather than limiting GrabCoins to a single type of transaction, users can earn them through eligible rides, food orders, grocery purchases, cashless payments, and selected in-app activities.
GrabUnlimited (GU) members can also receive enhanced GrabCoins on eligible cashless Grab transactions. GU members can earn 6 GrabCoins for every ₱100 spent using GrabPay and 3 GrabCoins for every ₱100 spent using other cashless payment methods.
The additional GrabCoins available to GrabUnlimited members provide another way for eligible users to build their GrabCoins balance when making cashless transactions through Grab.
Earn 2× GrabCoins during Double Coins Days
Grab is also introducing Double Coins Days, a monthly promotion available to all users from the 23rd to the 25th of each month.
During Double Coins Days, users can earn 2× GrabCoins on selected transactions. Participating offers are available on the GrabCoins homepage, allowing users to check which eligible transactions can provide the boosted GrabCoins during the monthly promotional period.
The monthly schedule gives Grab users another opportunity to maximize their GrabCoins earnings when making selected eligible transactions. By checking the GrabCoins homepage during Double Coins Days, users can view the participating offers and identify opportunities to earn twice the usual GrabCoins on selected transactions.
Use GrabCoins across Grab
Once earned, GrabCoins can be redeemed in several ways across Grab’s services. Users can redeem their GrabCoins for vouchers from the GrabCoins catalogue or apply them directly to eligible GrabCar, GrabFood, and GrabMart transactions through the GrabCoins toggle feature.
This allows users to use their accumulated GrabCoins toward eligible rides, food orders, and grocery purchases. GrabCoins can therefore be used both through the available rewards catalogue and directly during eligible transactions within the Grab app.
Users can also use GrabCoins for in-store QR Ph purchases when paying with GrabPay, extending the ways that accumulated GrabCoins can be used beyond Grab’s ride, food, and grocery services.
GrabCoins remain valid for six months from the date they are earned. Users can check their current GrabCoins balance and browse the available rewards at any time through the Grab app.
With more ways to earn GrabCoins, a monthly Double Coins Days promotion, and multiple redemption options across Grab services, users have more opportunities to turn eligible everyday transactions into rewards and discounts.
