These unexpected logouts triggered widespread concerns among users, leading to trending topics expressing fears of account hacking on various social media platforms.
A Meta spokesperson, Andy Stone, acknowledged the issue in a post on an unspecified social media platform, stating, “We’re aware people are having trouble accessing our services. We are working on this now.”
Thankfully, the outage appeared resolved by around 12:30 AM Philippine time on March 6, 2024, with users reporting restored access to Facebook and Instagram.
