Run or runway? Why not have both? Over 400 female runners gathered at Nike The Fort as the venue became a run-way for the launch of the Nike After Dark Tour (ADT) Collection. The event featured a fashion-forward, running-inspired runway showcase, surprise athlete appearances, and a community run, bringing together performance apparel, personal style, and the growing running community in Manila.

Run culture around the world is redefining what it means to dress for running, with performance products increasingly merging with style and identity. What a woman wears to the start line now says as much about her as her finish time. Her running outfit reflects who she is, who she runs with, and the community she has made her own.

Nike’s ADT run-way, styled by renowned Filipina stylist Lyn Alumno, was curated with this idea in mind. The showcase aimed to inspire Filipina runners to blur the lines between performance and fashion while embracing self-expression through their looks on and off the racecourse.

Athletes Pauline Lopez and Kim Mangrobang led the lineup, alongside Nike Run Coaches, pacers, and leaders of the running community, including Ashley Cayuca. Notable sports personalities such as Filipino volleyball icon Alyssa Valdez and yoga teacher Joanne Villablanca-Veridiano also joined the showcase.

Together, the participants highlighted the connection between performance and style while celebrating Manila’s running community. Some looks stood out with bold, head-to-toe hyper-pink outfits, while others combined and layered pieces for a relaxed, after-run look. Every outfit offered a different expression of personal style, reinforcing the event’s message that runners can combine comfort, performance, and individuality.

“My creative vision was centered on identity and on women, because this is a safe space for women like us. The clothes have to adapt to you, the movement has to go with you, and not the other way around. If you wear something uncomfortable, it definitely shows, and of course with running everything has to fit perfectly. It’s about being yourself, and just doing it.” – Lyn Alumno

Nike After Dark Tour Collection Combines Performance and Personal Style

At the center of the showcase was the Nike After Dark Tour Collection, which features performance-ready apparel alongside playful lifestyle looks. The collection is designed to help athletes feel confident and comfortable from the start line to the finish line, and beyond.

The collection features a distinctive hyper-pink colorway as its showstopper, complemented by black, grey, and white options. These colors give runners different styling choices, from bold, head-to-toe color-blocked outfits to personalized combinations with layered pieces.

The apparel range includes shorts, tights, sports bras, crops, tees, sleeveless tops, rugby-style pullovers, and hoodies. This variety gives runners multiple ways to create outfits that reflect their preferences while supporting their running routines.

Bold ADT graphics add another defining element to the collection. The recognizable designs pay tribute to the cities featured in the global tour, connecting runners through a shared identity and a global running community.

Nike’s road-running footwear completes the collection. The Alphafly 4, Pegasus Plus 2, Pegasus 42, and Zoom Fly 6 are available in ADT-specific colorways, bringing the collection’s visual identity to running shoes designed for performance.

“Before I thought that when I was running, I wasn’t allowed to be all [about] fashion. But now, it’s a fashion statement—you just show up and be yourself! I always go by if you feel good, you look good, you perform good.” — Nike Athlete, Pauline Lopez

Nike After Dark Tour Manila Highlights Community and Race-Day Preparation

Following the runway showcase, host-creator Silvana Rauch joined Lyn Alumno and Ashley Cayuca on stage for a discussion about race-day outfits. The conversation explored how runners can balance performance, comfort, and personal style ahead of the November 21 event.

Ashley Cayuca also shared how running and community helped shape her experience. Her journey began during a difficult period in her life, when movement offered a way to clear her head and feel better. The response to her Just Show Up Club initiative later demonstrated the importance of creating a supportive space for runners.

“I started running because I was going through a difficult time in my life. I just wanted to get out, I just wanted to move, clear my head, and feel better. When Just Show Up Club started, I began getting messages from people with love and gratitude, thanking me for building this community. That’s when I realized that this is more than just fitness. It’s bigger than running. Community is so important because a person gains more confidence when you feel supported.” — Ashley Cayuca

For Silvana Rauch, the community remains a key reason to keep participating in the Nike After Dark Tour experience. Training alongside other women creates an environment where runners can enjoy the process and build meaningful connections.

“What keeps me coming back to ADT is really the community. I don’t think anybody would stay in a space for a long period of time if you don’t enjoy the people you get to be with. Training with these women just feels amazing. I always go home with a huge smile on my face.” — Silvana Rauch

With the Nike After Dark Tour Manila race night exactly one month away at the time of the launch, the event continued with a 3km community run led by Nike Run Coaches Ra Teano and Bianca Ramos. The run gave participants an opportunity to continue preparing for race night while strengthening connections with fellow runners.

From the warm-up to the cool-down, the gathering reflected the excitement and sense of community that have come to define the ADT experience in Manila and around the world.

Lyn Alumno Shares Race-Night Styling Tips

Lyn Alumno also shared styling advice for runners preparing for race night. Her recommendations encourage women to express their individuality, experiment with color, and choose pieces that complement their movement.

“The clothes have to adapt to you, the movement has to go with you, not the other way around.”

She also highlighted the power of color in creating a confident running outfit, pointing to the collection’s signature hyper-pink shade as an example of how femininity and strength can work together.

“Choose a color that will empower you – for example, the electrifying hot pink in the After Dark Tour Collection. It’s very feminine, but it’s also very powerful.”

Accessories and apparel choices can also contribute to a runner’s overall look. Alumno encouraged runners to consider how individual pieces work together when building their race-day outfits.

“Color is everything: the way that you present yourself with good choices of eyewear, like running glasses, bras.”

Her approach also leaves room for creativity, allowing runners to adapt traditional running outfits to their personal preferences.

“You can always bend the rules when it comes to running and just really have fun with it.”

Nike Run Coach Ra Teano also shared advice for runners preparing their race-day outfits. With four weeks remaining before the event at the time of the launch, runners had an opportunity to test different apparel combinations and identify the pieces that offered the right balance of comfort, reliability, and personal style.

” A non-negotiable: don’t try anything new on race day. We have four weeks to go, so I would recommend trying out different pieces to form your race day fit! This is your opportunity, so try them on as early as now. Find something comfortable. Find something fun that’s going to help inspire and motivate you. It’s all about comfort, reliability, and style.” — Nike Run Coach Ra Teano
