Shopee, a leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil, has partnered with Meta to introduce a new suite of tools that make it easier for users to discover and purchase products through Facebook and Shopee. The collaboration focuses on streamlining affiliate marketing and enhancing Facebook Live with Collaborative Ads, creating new opportunities for brands, sellers, and creators to grow their online presence.

Empowering Creators and Sellers Through Facebook Affiliate Partnerships
Through the new Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, creators with affiliate accounts can now link their Facebook and affiliate profiles in one dashboard. This integration enables creators to curate and tag products directly in their posts and Reels, allowing viewers to click on these tags and complete their purchases through the affiliate partner’s site.
Shopee is the first partner to join Facebook Affiliate Partnerships, setting a new benchmark in helping creators monetize their content while connecting brands and sellers with potential buyers.
Creators joining the Shopee Affiliate Program can access several incentives, including higher commissions, free product samples, subscriber vouchers, and product sponsorships. Shopee also hosts bootcamps and events designed to equip affiliates with practical tools and insights to create authentic and engaging content that builds trust and drives sales.
The partnership reflects Shopee’s growing investment in the creator economy, which is reshaping how people discover and purchase products online. The company’s content ecosystem continues to expand, with affiliates producing over 100 million pieces of Shopee Live and Shopee Video content in 2024, tripling the volume from the previous year.

Thai creator Suparat, known for his RakBonsai Facebook Page, shared his positive experience with the Facebook Affiliate Partnership. “It’s been easy to use, with a fast and smooth upload system. After just about ten days, I’ve seen encouraging earnings from my product tags. The overall feedback from the creator community has also been very positive,” he said.
The Facebook Affiliate Partnerships with Shopee are now available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Brazil.
Enhancing Facebook Live Shopping with Seamless Shopee Checkout
The collaboration also introduces new tools for brands and sellers who rely on livestreaming to reach audiences. Businesses can now integrate Collaborative Ads into their Facebook Live sessions, allowing them to showcase products from their Shopee catalogues in real time.
Viewers can click on the featured catalogue products during the livestream and proceed to complete their checkout directly on Shopee. Sellers can also pin catalogue items within the livestream, guiding viewers to Shopee for more product details, customer reviews, and a smoother purchase process.
Shopee is the first marketplace to integrate with this beta feature. The program is currently being tested in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, with expansion to other markets underway.
