Acer today announced the Acer Vero 16 (V16-I71 / V16-I71T), a premium laptop designed with purposefully sourced materials, significant repairability, and performance in mind. The Acer Vero 16 combines a repairability-first design with recycled materials and low-carbon aluminum, while delivering responsive performance through Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors.
The Acer Vero 16 is also a Copilot+ PC with advanced on-device AI features designed for productivity, content creation, and entertainment. Its configuration options include a 16-inch OLED display, modern connectivity, and features designed to support everyday work and use.
The laptop is designed to make repairs and upgrades easier while incorporating materials intended to reduce environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. Its combination of repairability, performance, OLED visuals, connectivity, and AI-powered capabilities positions the Acer Vero 16 as a purposefully designed premium laptop.

Upgraded with Repairability-First Design and New Aluminum Chassis
Building upon Acer’s legacy, the Acer Vero 16 is designed around a commitment to reducing environmental impact throughout its lifecycle. It is the fourth-generation Vero consumer laptop and introduces several significant improvements over previous models.
The Acer Vero 16 features a new aluminum chassis approach. The top and palm-rest covers are comprised of 50% post-industrial recycled (PIR) aluminum and 50% low-carbon aluminum. The bottom cover incorporates 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic, while the display bezels use 30% PCR plastic.
The Acer Vero 16 also expands Acer’s product design approach from 3R to 4R by adding repairability to reduce, reuse, and recycle. The approach gives the laptop expanded repairability features compared with the previous generation, with the aim of supporting longer laptop lifespans and reducing e-waste.
A user-friendly visual guide is engraved directly on the laptop to assist with repairs and upgrades. The access latch on the bottom cover enables easier, tool-free access to internal components. Both the battery and SSD are replaceable by users themselves.
The hinge on the Acer Vero 16 is designed to be detachable from the chassis to facilitate easier repairs. Removable I/O port covers on both sides also simplify removal and repairs. The laptop further extends its repairability approach to upgradeability, with support for processor upgrades for at least two generations.
Acer’s approach to reducing the device’s environmental impact also extends to the coating and finish of its MIL-STD-810H certified chassis. The Acer Vero 16 uses a solvent-free powder-coated finish that reduces volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions while providing superior wear resistance over conventional paint. The finish is designed to enhance durability and longevity.
As with the previous generation, the Acer Vero 16 ships in 100% recyclable packaging made from recycled materials.
Powerful Performance, OLED Visuals and All-day Productivity
The Acer Vero 16 is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 processor 388H with up to 180 platform TOPS. Its energy-efficient hybrid architecture helps balance high performance with a 71 Wh battery and smooth operation.
Product configurations will include up to a 16-inch 3K OLED WQXGA+ display for vivid visuals. The laptop can also be configured with up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 512 GB of SSD storage.
For video calls, the Acer Vero 16 includes a 5 MP IR camera with a built-in privacy shutter. The camera supports clear images during video calls while providing an additional layer of security.
The laptop provides a range of connectivity options for everyday devices and accessories. These include an SD card reader, HDMI® 2.1 with HDCP for external displays, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
Two USB Type-A ports add further flexibility. One is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, while the other is a faster USB 3.2 Gen 2 port with power-off charging. The power-off charging feature allows accessories to be powered even when the laptop is turned off.
Intel Wi-Fi 7 provides high-speed, reliable connections for staying productive on the go. The backlit keyboard also features Acer MyKey, a customizable hotkey that launches apps and opens websites or Windows features with a button press.
For audio, dual anti-vibration speakers deliver crisp, high-quality sound while minimizing unwanted vibrations and noise. The design supports improved sound performance for everyday use.
Powerful AI Tools
As a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC with on-device AI, the Acer Vero 16 offers AI-powered features for working, creating, and communicating more easily.
The laptop supports Copilot+ PC features including Click to Do, Cocreator, Live Captions with translation, and Windows Studio Effects. These features are designed to simplify everyday tasks, spark creativity, enhance video calls, and make content more accessible.
The Acer Vero 16 also includes Acer AI solutions designed to support productivity, collaboration, and everyday device use. Productivity-enhancing features include instant QR code scans, AI image generation, adjusting video playback speed, and magnifying small text or images.
Acer PurifiedView provides AI-powered camera enhancements for video conferencing. Acer PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction helps deliver clearer communication by minimizing background noise and supporting external microphones and headsets.
AcerSense provides quick access to controls through a dedicated hotkey. It allows users to manage performance modes, battery and storage optimization, system monitoring, and AI-powered collaboration tools.
Together, these features give the Acer Vero 16 a combination of on-device AI capabilities, productivity tools, video conferencing enhancements, and system controls designed for working, creating, and communicating.
