“Our aim for the whole exhibit is Blending Art and Technology. We chose Pop Art as an ideal theme because of its vibrant, visually engaging nature that attracts attention and creates a dynamic atmosphere. It blends art with consumer culture, aligning perfectly with the TCL NXTFRAME TV’s fusion of technology and artistic display,” Joseph Cernitchez, TCL Brand Manager, explains. This theme beautifully captured the essence of the TV, as it merges modern technology with artistic expression.
The exhibit featured four talented Filipino artists who collaborated with TCL to transform the TCL NXTFRAME TV into a canvas for their innovative artworks. Each artist brought their own unique perspective, enhancing the viewing experience by demonstrating the TV’s potential to turn art into a dynamic and evolving display.
Chill, an artist known for his ability to blend traditional Filipino culture with contemporary urban themes, contributed his piece “A Gamer’s Journey: From Analog to Digital.” Chill, who grew up in a world filled with games, cartoons, anime, and movies, expressed how these influences shaped his identity and artistic style. His artwork reflects the evolution of technology and its impact on everyday life, celebrating both nostalgia and the future potential of technology. “My art is not just about nostalgia; it also conveys hope for future generations—a reminder that technology can be a tool for creativity and understanding,” Chill says.
Reynold Dela Cruz, a contemporary Filipino artist, contributed his work titled “Different Vision,” which explores the idea of how an image transcends a singular definition. His complex layering of images symbolizes how human perception works on various interpretive levels. “I am honored to have contributed to this groundbreaking exhibit. The opportunity to fuse my artistic vision with TCL’s cutting-edge technology was both stimulating and rewarding,” Reynold Dela Cruz testifies, excited about the fusion of art and technology.
RA Tijing, a renowned pop-surreal visual artist, expressed his enthusiasm about seeing his work come to life on the TCL NXTFRAME TV. Tijing’s artwork, “BamBam and Friends,” reflects his experiences during an art residency in Europe and focuses on his Black Sheep character. The piece also tells stories of the friendships he made and even the delivery boys he encountered. Tijing was impressed by how the NXTFRAME TV enhanced his work: “The TCL NXTFRAME TV gives vibrant colors and has a sleek design that creates a stunning visual experience that complements my paintings perfectly,” RA Tijing says.
Ronson Culibrina, a young Filipino contemporary artist with recognition both locally and internationally, also took part in the exhibit. Known for his works inspired by daily life, Culibrina’s experience with the TCL NXTFRAME TV was transformative. He expressed that the TV’s technology brought his artwork into a new dimension. “The TCL NXTFRAME TV transformed the gallery into a fusion of color and technology, where the artist’s creation seamlessly blended into each space with immersive visuals,” Ronson Culibrina explains.
