Epson Launches SureColor-S7130 Eco-Solvent Printer

Epson, a leader in professional printing, has unveiled the SureColor-S7130 (SC-S7130), the newest model in its SC S-Series of eco-solvent printers. Designed for print service providers focusing on small-volume production, the SC-S7130 delivers improved productivity, print quality, and reliability at a cost-effective price point. It succeeds the SC-S40670, offering significant upgrades that meet the changing needs of the market.

With equipment expected to account for more than 75 percent of the market revenue in Asia Pacific’s commercial printing industry, alongside rising demand for short-run and on-demand printing, the SC-S7130 positions itself as a competitive and sustainable choice for businesses seeking to strengthen operations.

Engineered for Productivity and Performance

The SC-S7130 is powered by an upgraded PrecisionCore Micro TFP Printhead, which provides nearly a 24 percent boost in print speed when using default mode. Featuring 3,200 nozzles and a wider printhead compared to its predecessor, the printer achieves an expanded print width in a single pass, improving throughput across all print modes.

To deliver sharp and consistent quality, the SC-S7130 incorporates redesigned nozzles that release both smaller M-sized and larger L-sized dots. This innovation minimizes graininess and banding, resulting in high-quality output suitable for demanding print jobs.

Ease of use is another key advantage. The printer comes with a 4.3-inch touch display that supports intuitive operation, even with gloves on. Users also benefit from Epson Edge Print Pro, the company’s advanced image processing and production software. The latest edition includes features for remote management and introduces a new “Text Sharpness” mode for precise, crisp text printing.

Printing Made Ultra-Reliable

Reliability is enhanced with a new printhead guard designed to flatten jammed media, preventing potential printhead damage. Additionally, the carriage temperature sensor is positioned closer to the nozzle surface for more accurate readings, enabling faster detection of changes and ensuring consistent color reproduction.

The SC-S7130 also integrates Epson’s Nozzle Verification Technology, which continuously monitors nozzle performance in real-time. If a clog is detected, the system automatically issues an alert, allowing businesses to respond quickly and maintain print quality without disruption.

Epson has also upgraded the ink system. The SC-S7130 uses Epson UltraChrome GS3 inks packaged in 800ml ink packs, replacing the older 700ml cartridges. This change reduces waste and the frequency of ink replacements, supporting both cost savings and sustainability. The UltraChrome GS3 ink is GREENGUARD Gold certified, ensuring low chemical emissions and volatile organic compounds, making it safe for long-term indoor applications.
