TCL recently showcased its latest innovation in home entertainment during the “Heritage in Every Frame” event held at the Centro de Turismo Intramuros Manila. The event celebrated the connection between advanced display technology and Filipino cultural heritage, highlighting how modern innovation can bring timeless works of art to life.
As the top-panel TV brand and a global leader in home electronics, TCL used the occasion to introduce the TCL A400 Series QD-MiniLED TVs, a lifestyle-focused television lineup designed to combine cutting-edge technology with the elegance of fine art. The event demonstrated how the TCL A400 Series can serve not only as a home entertainment device but also as a centerpiece that enhances modern living spaces.
Held in conjunction with the nation’s 128th Independence Day celebration, the launch reflected the harmony between classical heritage and contemporary innovation. Guests experienced the works of renowned Filipino painter Fernando Amorsolo through immersive digital animation displayed on the TCL A400 Series.

“The TCL A400 Series represents our vision of what home entertainment can become, not simply a device for viewing content, but a centerpiece that enhances the living space even when not in use,” says TCL CEO Peter Chen.
Cutting Edge Meets Stunning Display
The TCL Heritage in Every Frame event showcased the capabilities of the TCL A400M and TCL A400 Pro TVs. Through the ultra-crisp displays of the TCL A400 Series, visitors were able to experience Fernando Amorsolo’s masterpieces in a new and engaging format through seamless high-definition animation.
A curated collection of Amorsolo’s works was displayed throughout the venue using TCL A400 Series televisions. The exhibition highlighted the richness of Filipino life, culture, and heritage through some of the artist’s most celebrated paintings.

Reflecting the event’s celebration of heritage and innovation, media and influencers attended TCL’s Heritage in Every Frame event in modern Barongs. Featured is a custom Vince Sityar creation that blends traditional Filipino elegance with contemporary style.

Among the featured artworks was Carabao Riding in Sunset, a peaceful depiction of rural life at the end of the day. Noonday Meal portrayed farmers sharing a well-deserved break during harvest season. Also included was Tinikling, which captured the energy and spirit of the traditional Filipino dance, and Dalagang Bukid, a tribute to the beauty of the Filipina and the countryside.
The collection further featured The Blind Man, a moving portrait that highlights compassion and vulnerability, and Fruit Market, a vibrant scene that reflects abundance and everyday commerce. Completing the exhibition was Bataan, one of Amorsolo’s most powerful wartime masterpieces, representing resilience and sacrifice.
Presented through the advanced display technology of the TCL A400 Series, these artworks were rendered with remarkable color accuracy, clarity, and detail. The presentation offered visitors a fresh perspective on Filipino artistry, culture, and history.
Adding another layer to the exhibition, digital animator Mark Cañega reimagined Amorsolo’s paintings through modern animation techniques. The project demonstrated how traditional art can be transformed into immersive visual experiences while preserving the original character and emotion of each masterpiece.

Delivering an insightful overview of the digital remastering process, Mark Cañega shared the artistic philosophy behind the project:
“Animating the masterpieces of National Artist Fernando Amorsolo is an incredible honor and a unique technical challenge. His paintings are not static; they are vibrant snapshots of moving wind, flowing rivers, and rural Filipino life. To honor his legacy, we ensured the animation feels like a moving canvas rather than a cartoon. Every frame is carefully optimized to preserve Amorsolo’s signature use of glowing sunlight and warm colors, matching the beautiful texture of the original oil paintings perfectly on the TCL A400 screen.”
Creative Dialogues
Another major highlight of the event was a discussion featuring TCL KOLs actress Heaven Peralejo, content creator and mommy vlogger Jenny Yeo, and Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo. The panel shared personal insights and impressions about the TCL A400 Series TVs and their ability to merge technology with artistic expression.

When asked about her first impression of the TCL A400 Series TV, Heaven Peralejo expressed surprise at how realistic the display appeared.
“At first, I didn’t even realize I was looking at a television—I thought it was an actual painting. The screen captures the texture, details, and raw emotion so flawlessly that the essence of the original artwork remains intact. It truly captures humanity, reflecting the remarkable endurance of Filipinos during those times.”

Jenny Yeo highlighted one of her favorite features of the TCL A400 Series, particularly its ability to function as both entertainment technology and home décor.
“My absolute favorite feature is the art gallery mode. Growing up, I always watched TV, but now I love that this mode allows me to display beautiful, available paintings instead of a blank screen. It strikes the perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. As a mom, I genuinely enjoy having this in our home, which is why I really want the TCL A400 Series TV.”
Chelsea Manalo also emphasized how the television successfully bridges Filipino heritage with modern technology.
“The TCL A400 Series brings a modern touch to the museum experience. It seamlessly integrates with today’s technology, effectively bridging our rich culture and heritage with modern innovation. In fact, when you look at the TV, it doesn’t even feel like a typical piece of modern technology—it blends in like a piece of art.”
A Noteworthy Contribution
The TCL Frames of Filipino Living event also served as a platform for community support. During the event, TCL donated televisions and air conditioning units to several institutions within Intramuros.
The donations will support the daily operations of the Centro de Turismo Intramuros, the Intramuros Information Center, the iMAKE History Fortress LEGO Education Center, and the Fr. Luis G. Merino, O.S.A. Library.

“The Intramuros Administration is deeply grateful for opportunities such as this, where modern innovation and creative technology become bridges that connect our people with their roots and deepen their appreciation of the cultural heritage that defines us as a nation. Through new and dynamic mediums, we are able to breathe fresh life into the masterpieces of our National Artists, allowing their stories to reach and inspire a new generation of Filipinos,” says Atty. Joan Padilla, Administrator of Intramuros Administration.
The event ultimately highlighted how the TCL A400 Series can create meaningful connections between art, culture, technology, and modern living. Through advanced display capabilities and thoughtful presentation, the exhibition provided visitors with a unique opportunity to experience Filipino heritage in a contemporary format.

“The TCL A400 Series exhibit has shown us how innovation can create new ways to experience and appreciate Filipino heritage. Through the TCL A400 Series, we have had the opportunity to see the timeless works of Fernando Amorsolo presented in a format that connects art, culture, and modern living. This exhibit reflects TCL’s commitment to creating technology that not only enhances everyday experiences but also inspires meaningful connections through creativity and self-expression,” says Ms. Cyd Montebon, TCL Director of Sales, in her closing speech.
