Good Neighbors Philippines will hold The Good Run Year 3 on Sunday, November 22, 2026, at the UP Diliman National Science Complex, bringing runners together to help provide safe and sustainable solar lights to children in Laak, Davao de Oro. Co-presented by The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) and SolarBuddy LIVE, this year’s event carries the theme “Light Up Their World.”
The charity run aims to support children and families in communities with limited access to reliable electricity. Through the participation of runners and its partnership with SolarBuddy LIVE, Good Neighbors Philippines hopes to bring dependable lighting to five farming barangays in Laak, giving children more opportunities to read, study, and learn after sunset.

Bringing Solar Lights to Children in Laak, Davao de Oro
Access to reliable lighting can make a meaningful difference in a child’s daily life. Having a light at home allows children to spend more time reading, studying, and learning after sunset. However, for families in communities with limited access to reliable electricity, having sufficient lighting at home remains a challenge.

This is the everyday situation in five farming barangays in the landlocked town of Laak, Davao de Oro. The communities of Aguinaldo, Kilagding, San Antonio, Kidawa, and Longanapan are among the areas covered by this year’s solar lighting initiative.
Through its partnership with SolarBuddy LIVE, Good Neighbors Philippines will bring solar lights to children and families in these communities. Reliable lighting will give children additional hours to study after dark while helping families carry out their everyday household tasks.
The initiative highlights the importance of access to lighting in supporting children’s learning activities and helping families manage their daily routines. Through The Good Run Year 3, participants can support an effort that aims to provide children and families in Laak with safer and more sustainable lighting.

CBTL Supports The Good Run’s Community Initiative
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL), as the event’s co-presenter, joins The Good Run Year 3 in supporting a cause that brings people together beyond their usual routines.
The partnership reinforces the event’s message that meaningful change can begin when individuals and organizations use their platforms to support communities in need. By participating in the initiative, CBTL supports an event that connects running with a broader community cause.
Together with Good Neighbors Philippines and SolarBuddy LIVE, the partnership forms part of this year’s effort to bring safe and sustainable solar lighting to children and families in Laak, Davao de Oro.
