Setting daily fitness goals is more than just a trend. It’s a lifestyle shift toward better health and wellness. Whether it’s walking 10,000 steps a day, tracking calories, or monitoring sleep patterns, staying on top of your activity can significantly improve your overall well-being. For many young professionals and active individuals, a reliable fitness tracker isn’t just a tool. It’s a daily companion that keeps them aligned with their goals.
Fitness band trackers have become incredibly popular, and for good reason. They offer a range of functionalities that appeal to various individuals, from seasoned athletes to those just starting their wellness journey. Seeing daily, weekly, and monthly data in easy-to-understand graphs and charts is highly motivating. It provides a visual representation of improvement and consistency. During a workout, a tracker can display useful metrics such as heart rate, pace, distance, and calories burned, helping users optimize their effort and progress. Smart bands are also practical for daily use, offering features like notifications for calls, texts, and apps, along with long-term data that reveals patterns in sleep, movement, and heart rate.
For some users like myself, the biggest benefits of using a fitness tracker are for sleep and step tracking. Personally, I use fitness trackers to monitor my sleep because I often find it hard to fall asleep at night. Devices like the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 can help identify trends in sleep habits, such as when you fall asleep, how long you sleep, and how often you wake up. It offers advanced sleep intelligence powered by high-precision sensors and provides personalized recommendations in collaboration with international sleep authorities. It can also generate organized sleep reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, along with a 21-day sleep improvement plan to help establish better routines.
Aside from sleep, another reason I rely on a fitness tracker is for monitoring my steps, especially during daily jogs or cardio sessions. With its upgraded high-precision sensors and refined tracking algorithms, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 provides accurate and consistent data. This makes it easier to stay motivated, track progress, and maintain a steady fitness routine with confidence.

Unboxing/Accessories
Inside the box, you’ll find the Xiaomi Smart Band 10, a fluororubber band strap, the dedicated magnetic charging cable, and the user manual. The packaging is straightforward and functional, giving users a clear starting point.
Xiaomi’s emphasis on personalization stands out, with 11 official accessories available in a range of materials and designs—from classic silicone to elegant pearl-chain pendants. These accessories allow the band to be worn in four distinct styles, including as a necklace or clipped onto a bag, making it more than just a wrist wearable.
Build Quality/Design
The design of the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 hasn’t changed much. It retains the pill-shaped body with an aluminum frame and plastic back. The flat display sits on top, while the heart-rate and SpO2 optical sensors are located at the bottom, adjacent to the charging pins. There are no physical buttons; to power on the device, you simply place it on the charger. Weighing about 15.95g without the strap and approximately 28 grams with it, the band is lightweight and comfortable for extended wear.

You can also wear the Smart Band 10 as an accessory thanks to the wide variety of bands available. There’s a necklace mode that lets you wear it around your neck and a pebble mode, where you can tuck it into your shoe or strap it to your ankle to analyze running form. The silicone band uses a pin that snaps into place with a soft click. The lack of hardware buttons might feel unusual at first, but once you’re familiar with the navigation, it becomes second nature. Tap the screen to wake it up, swipe down for notifications, swipe up to access the menu, swipe right for settings, and swipe left to cycle through widgets.

You can use the band to locate your phone, light up the screen as a flashlight, remotely trigger the phone camera, view your calendar, and set alarms or timers. Integration with Xiaomi Smart Hub allows control of IoT devices directly from the band. In terms of sports tracking, it supports over 150 activities with 6 auto-detected modes, but lacks built-in GPS, meaning you’ll need to carry your phone for accurate tracking. Health tracking is managed via the optical heart-rate and SpO2 sensors.

You can configure the band to continuously monitor heart rate and SpO2, or switch to smart mode for better battery efficiency. Stress tracking leverages heart rate variability to estimate whether you’re experiencing stress or are relaxed. Sleep tracking uses these sensors to monitor sleep stages and provide actionable advice. After a full week of sleep tracking, users are even assigned a sleep animal based on their sleep patterns.

According to Xiaomi, with upgraded low-power hardware and intelligent power-saving algorithms, system power consumption is significantly reduced. This allows up to 21 days of battery life on a single charge without Always-on Display. With AOD activated, the battery life drops to around 9 days. In real-world use—activating all sensors and using it for sleep and activity tracking—you can expect around 6 to 7 days of use. The lack of built-in GPS remains the biggest drawback, as bringing your phone is necessary for reliable distance tracking.
Xiaomi Smart Band 10 introduces a fashion-forward approach to smart wearables. It features a 1.72-inch AMOLED display housed in a symmetrical aluminum alloy or ceramic frame with ultra-thin bezels. Moisture-resistant touch controls, 2.5D reinforced glass, and an overall refined finish reflect the brand’s elevated design philosophy.
It is lightweight and sleek, weighing only 15.95g (Metal) or 23.05g (Ceramic) without the strap, and fits wrist sizes from 135 to 210mm. This combination of comfort and aesthetics ensures the band remains stylish and functional whether you’re in the gym, at work, or out at an event.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 10 maintains the line’s signature understated design: a comfortable, pill-shaped tracker with a vibrant screen. Thanks to slimmer, symmetrical bezels, it’s sharp (326 PPI) and bright (up to 1,500 nits), looking as good as many high-end smartwatches. It’s perfectly sized for quickly checking notifications and workout stats without losing its identity as a band.

Customization is a big focus with over 200 watch face options, from classic to playful. The display is also great for simple mini-games. Xiaomi has clearly leaned into the fashion aspect, offering various frame options like metal and ceramic, and eleven different band styles. You can choose from Midnight Black, Glacier Silver, or Mystic Rose TPU straps. There are also new bands made from high-quality fluororubber, comfortable to wear, and other options like leather, a luxurious knitted strap, and even a chain necklace so you can wear the tracker around your neck.

It also provides on-wrist running or walking courses with real-time feedback on pace and effort, which is great for casual runners. Metrics like VO₂ max, recovery time, and training state help you understand your activity and fitness level. For swimmers, lap counting accuracy has improved significantly, with Xiaomi claiming up to 96% accuracy. Heart rate tracking is also decent for such an affordable device. However, it still lacks onboard GPS tracking, a feature seemingly reserved for Xiaomi’s higher-end models.
Display
One of the standout features of the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is its gorgeous 1.72-inch AMOLED display. The screen is not only larger than its predecessor but also significantly brighter, reaching up to 1500 nits peak brightness. This makes it much easier to read under direct sunlight, whether you’re checking your workout stats or glancing at a notification. The 60Hz refresh rate ensures smooth animations, while the symmetrical bezels give it a modern and premium look. The display supports multiple watch faces, including interactive ones with mini-games, allowing for greater personalization. Whether you prefer a minimalist design or a data-rich interface, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 offers plenty of customization options to match your style.

The 1.72-inch AMOLED display offers a resolution of 212×520 at 326 PPI, up to 1500 nits HBM brightness, and a 60Hz refresh rate. These specifications make for clear, smooth visuals and excellent visibility outdoors.
A 73% screen-to-body ratio and moisture-resistant touch interface enhance both usability and style. Navigation is fluid and responsive, making interactions more intuitive.
Watch Faces
Users can choose from more than 200 watch faces, including five with built-in mini-games for casual entertainment. Styles range from minimalistic to dynamic animated designs. You can also upload custom images for personalized watch faces.

This variety allows the band to adapt visually to any occasion, from workouts to formal events, ensuring your wearable reflects your daily mood.
Battery Life
The battery life has always been a strong point for Xiaomi’s smart bands, and the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 continues this with up to 21 days of usage on a single charge. Even with the always-on display enabled, it can last around 9 days, which is very impressive for a device with a bright screen. While it lacks built-in GPS, it efficiently uses your smartphone device’s GPS for outdoor activities. The smart band also integrates with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, allowing you to control smart home devices directly from your wrist.

The Smart Band 10 houses a 233mAh battery that charges in about one hour using the included magnetic charger. It delivers up to 21 days of battery life under typical use, or up to 9 days when using the Always-on Display feature.

It takes about an hour to fully charge the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 from 0% to 100%.
Efficient power management ensures the band stays operational for extended periods, making it highly reliable for travel and busy schedules.
Xiaomi Smart Band Accessories
With 11 official accessories and four wearing modes, Xiaomi Smart Band 10 is one of the most versatile wearables in its category. Users can select straps in TPU or fluororubber materials, or opt for a more unique look with the pearl-chain pendant.

For this review, we got to try out three of the official accessories: the Chain Strap, the Xiaomi Magnetic Strap, and the Running Clip.
- Xiaomi Magnetic Strap: Made from nano-tech vegan leather, this strap is soft as clouds and safe for your skin. The pristine white finish, combined with flexible magnetic clasps, provides a snug yet comfortable fit. Personally, I really love the Magnetic Strap in pristine white with a satin-smooth finish. It adds a touch of style to my Xiaomi Smart Band 10 and makes it look even more refined.
- Chain Strap: A combination of leather and metal, this stylish strap transforms the metallic watch into a fashion-forward chain bracelet. Its unique chain design reduces overall weight while maintaining a chic aesthetic, making it a go-to accessory for casual or formal wear.
- Running Clip: Designed for pebble mode, the Running Clip enables a more professional running experience by attaching the tracker to your shoe laces. It helps unlock 13 professional running metrics with data interpretation to enhance your training. While there is no official Running Clip yet for the Xiaomi Smart Band 10, we tested the one made for the Smart Band 9 and it fits perfectly.

This customization adds a fashion element to the functional design, helping the band transition seamlessly from workouts to daily activities.
