Conrad Manila opens the 37th edition of its acclaimed Of Art and Wine series with a group exhibition titled Her Hands: A Loom of Stories. Running from September 16 to November 15, 2025, the exhibition is presented in partnership with Space_Alt Contemporary. Featuring 34 works from seven female contemporary artists, the collection brings together Kristine de Jesus, Anita del Rosario, Jane Ebarle, Mia Go, Katrina Raimann, Anina Rubio, and Maria Salvador. Held at Gallery C on the hotel’s third level, the show highlights weaving through textile art, sculpture, and mixed media.

Weaving as Memory and Identity

Her Hands: A Loom of Stories underscores weaving as more than a craft. The exhibition frames it as a vessel of memory, identity, and connection. This artistic form has historically been central to cultural expression, closely tied to the role of women in society. Women have been the keepers of weaving traditions, passing down knowledge, skills, and stories from generation to generation.

Each piece in the exhibition reflects not only artistic detail but also the weight of history and lived experience. The woven threads symbolize resilience, unity, and cultural continuity. The works encourage viewers to see weaving as a form of storytelling where color, texture, and pattern combine with meaning and purpose. Guests are invited to engage with these deeper narratives and to appreciate how weaving honors both craftsmanship and heritage.
