Huawei Philippines had just released its latest smartwatch—the Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro. It is almost similar but with improved features and a more premium built to the Huawei Watch GT 2.
Unlike the previous model, the new Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro features the use of more premium materials such as titanium case with sapphire glass and a ceramic back that gives it a more upscale feel to it. It also features a 1.39 inch AMOLED HD touchscreen at 454 x 454 resolution. You can also choose from over 200+ watch faces that can match your style of the day. It also provides comprehensive data such as heart rate, average speed, the maximum slope, track and distance for cross-country skiing, skiing and snowboarding on a ski field.
The Watch GT 2 Pro is powered by the Kirin Kirin A1 + STL4R9 and comes with 4GB of storage. There are two physical buttons that serve as power and function buttons. It also has speaker support and a built-in microphone.
The new GT 2 Pro offers a wide choice of workout modes with more than 100 options such as climbing, outdoor running, rowing, surfing, tennis, and more. Moreover, there are more than 10 running courses with voice guides that are automatically activated when you start a workout.

Build Quality/Design
The new Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is made from a premium titanium frame that’s surprisingly lightweight with sapphire glass and a ceramic back that is very comfortable to the skin. It really looks and feels premium on the wrist. The watch design is a mixture between the Watch GT 2 and GT 2e.
It also has a 1.39 inch display inside a 47mm chassis made of titanium and ceramic, which does feel oversized on the wrist but is something I personally like and is currently on trend. It also has a wear-resistant sapphire watch dial for enhanced ruggedness
The glossy and skin-friendly ceramic back allows the Watch GT 2 Pro to be charged wirelessly; this means you can charge your GT 2 Pro on a Qi wireless charger for 10 minutes and you’ll get around 5 hours. It also supports reverse charging from your smartphone. When fully charged, the Watch GT 2 Pro can last for 14 days for typical use situations and 8 days for heavy use scenes.
Just like the Watch GT 2, the new Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro comes with a mic and loudspeaker for calls and can even playback music thanks to its 2 GB built in storage that can hold approximately 1000 MP3 songs.
To get started, you just need to connect the device to your smartphone by simply downloading the Huawei Health App which is available on both google play store or app store. Once downloaded, you just need to open your bluetooth, then open the Huawei Health App and click on devices to pair your new Huawei Watch Fit with your smartphone.
Initial Thoughts
The new Huawei Watch GT 2 Pro is by far my favorite smartwatch I’ve tried as of the moment. One of my favorite features is the bluetooth calling where you can make or receive calls via the watch. Aside from that I also love the premium and sleek design of this smartwatch. The new Watch GT 2 Pro has a very competitive pricing for a premium smartwatch with all the awesome features usually seen on higher priced smartwatches in the market. Definitely perfect for those people who want a premium-looking wearable device with all the amazing features of a smartwatch.
