Bistro Aurora

Bistro Aurora is a contemporary Asian bistro that elevates regional dishes with modern techniques and refined presentation. Recognized as Best New Restaurant in the 2024 Tatler Philippines Dining Guide and included in the Tatler Dining 20, Bistro Aurora delivers bold yet thoughtful dishes. During the visit, standout plates included Chicken Poppers with Sambal Cream Cheese, Salmon Avocado Toast Bites, Tamarind Glazed Pork Skewers, and Seafood Nori Roll. These vibrant flavors were perfectly complemented by the Strawberry Fizz, a refreshing drink with a light and fruity profile.

Brotzeit

Brotzeit brings authentic German fare and Bavarian beer culture to the local scene. Known for its hearty and comforting menu, Brotzeit serves Sausage Bites, Brezn (Pretzel), Brotzeit Brot (a platter showcasing their best offerings), Kasespatzle Bites, and Smoked Salmon & Black Forest Rosti. These rich, savory items were enjoyed alongside their signature imported German beer, making it an excellent spot for relaxed gatherings and casual social hours.

H Proper

H Proper, set to open in July, brings a strong coffee culture from Cagayan de Oro to Ortigas. With beans sourced from Ethiopia, Brazil, Colombia, and the Philippines and roasted in-house, H Proper ensures freshness and quality in every cup. Guests sampled the Cold White Brew, which stood out for its smooth, rich finish. In addition to coffee, H Proper also offers an impressive all-day menu. Highlights included H Proper Bistro Sliders, Dragon Fruit and Malasugue Ceviche Bites, Sweet Potato Fries, and Crougetas Fundidas, all of which reflected the café’s attention to flavor and quality.

Lazy Suzy

Lazy Suzy, under the direction of Chef Patrick Go, blends the culinary influences of Japan, Korea, and Cantonese China into a modern East Asian dining experience. The Saamjang Tuna, made with yellowfin tartare, ssamjang chimichurri, pomelo, and fried seaweed, was a standout starter. Other memorable dishes included Sichuan Sesame Soba, served cold with dashi, sweet soy, ebiko, and burnt sesame, and MSG, a creative dish featuring Molo crisp, shiitake mushroom, gorgonzola, and aonori. The Golden Gai, a cocktail made with gin, yuzu, and ginger beer, added a bold yet balanced finish to the meal.

Osteria Antica

Osteria Antica, by the Wildflour Hospitality Group, brings traditional Italian cooking to life with a focus on seasonal ingredients and old-world techniques. Their brick oven, imported from Italy, turned out flavorful Sausage and Margherita Pizzas. The Agnolotti Pasta, however, was the star of the table. Rich, perfectly portioned, and handmade, it delivered a depth of flavor that truly impressed.

Visiting Podium Social was a fun and satisfying experience, with each restaurant offering something special and full of unique taste. Some of our favorites were the Agnolotti Pasta from Osteria Antica, the Chicken Poppers with Sambal Cream Cheese from Aurora, and the Cold White Brew from H Proper. Each one stood out not just for how good it tasted but also for how well it was prepared and presented.

There are still plenty of dishes left to try, so another visit is already being planned. Whether you’re going back for a favorite or excited to try something new, Podium Social is a place worth returning to. The next visit is sure to be just as enjoyable—and definitely something worth sharing.

Podium Social is now open at Level 6, The Podium, ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City.
