Whether you’re considering joining the digital book revolution or want a new device for binge-watching your favorite Netflix series or browsing the web, the Huawei MatePad T10 might just be the device for you.
The new Huawei MatePad T10 has a 9.7-inch LCD display, Kirin 710A SoC, Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 5100mAh battery. The MatePad T10 has two built-in cameras, a 5MP f/2.2 rear camera and a 2MP f/2.4 front-facing camera. It runs on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10.1 with Huawei Mobile Services.
The Huawei MatePad T10 arrived with the familiar white box that has the Huawei logo and the AppGallery icon on the lower part of the box. Inside the box you will find the Huawei MatePad T10, SIM ejector tool, USB Type-C cable, charging plug, and documentation.
The MatePad T10 is made of a combination of metal, glass, and high-quality polycarbonate material. Personally I’m loving the color which they call “deepsea blue”. The tablet feels premium to touch compared to other tablets that are available in the market today at this price range.
On top of the MatePad T10 are the volume rocker, power button, and two microphone ports while at the bottom is a smooth surface.
On the left side is where the left speaker grill is located, while on the right side are the SIM card tray, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port, and the right speaker grill.
The MatePad T10 offers a 9.7-inch IPS display at 1280x800px resolution. It is noticeably sharper and clearer than most tablets at this price range. This makes watching video content such as YouTube videos, movies, and TV series so much enjoyable on the Huawei MatePad T10’s big display. It gets bright enough indoors but it may struggle under direct sunlight. It also features an eye-comfort mode that makes it easier for longer reading for web browsing.
The display supports up to 10 points of simultaneous touches. Our taps and gestures register instantaneously and accurately. This makes this tablet ideal for multi-touch supported apps and games.
Kids and adults will surely enjoy watching on the MatePad T10 with the dual stereo speaker. At maximum volume, the tablet’s speakers get pretty loud while painting clarity and with minimal distortion. The sound from the speakers, However are easily blocked by just accidentally placing the fingers on them. While the built-in microphone recording is decent. Nothing beats a dedicated external microphone but for the price, the audio picked up for calls and audio recordings are good enough.
At the back is a 5-megapixel f/2.2 main camera with no flash that is good enough for sharing images on social media but don’t expect professional level photography. After all, you’re dealing with a camera that has very limited optics. The pro mode allows you to control the ISO (100-1600), focus, shutter speed (0.5-1/4000) EV (+-4), and white balance.
The 2-megapixel f/2.4 front camera may not replace the camera on your smartphone but it’s a great alternative and is good enough for online video conferencing in well-lit scenarios.
The Huawei MatePad T10 has a high battery capacity of 5,100mAh, enabling users to enjoy their favorite video content longer on the go or while relaxing in the comfort of their own home. According to Huawei, this tablet lasts at least 12 hours on a single charge, giving more time for local video playback and web browsing.
Under the hood is EMUI 10.1 with Huawei Mobile Services. This means that you can download your favorite apps via the Huawei AppGallery, the third-largest app ecosystem in the world. And with the use of Huawei’s Petal Search, you can easily search for apps that are not yet found at the AppGallery. If the webpage is compatible, Huawei Petal Search can create a shortcut on your home screen that links to the web-based version of the service or app you are accessing.
The MatePad T10 is also equipped with Kids Mode where the UI changes to a more kid-friendly interface. The elements are more simple and with kid-friendly representations. The new EMUI 10.1 also has an updated Digital Balance feature where you can limit the time spent on specific apps while recording the time spent on the apps installed on the tablet.
The Huawei MatePad T10 is a perfect tablet for watching your favourite movies and reading eBooks on the go. It also has built in kid-friendly features which is perfect for kids and their learning. No doubt the Huawei MatePad T10 is one of the best affordable tablets available in the market today which is only PhP 6,999 perfect for today’s new normal setup.
