Singapore Airlines (SIA) is enhancing its in-flight entertainment experience with next-generation KrisWorld and high-speed connectivity, giving customers more choice, control, and flexibility throughout their journeys.

The upgraded KrisWorld system will feature 4K high-resolution touchscreen displays, including OLED screens on selected aircraft and cabin classes. Other enhancements include spatial audio, active noise-cancellation headphones, Bluetooth pairing for personal headphones, a redesigned user interface, a new wellness planner, personalisation features, and more than 2,500 entertainment options.

These features will bring movies, television shows, music, and other content to life through sharper visuals and richer, more dimensional sound with greater depth and clarity. Customers will also have more control over how they enjoy their time on board.

Mr Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, Singapore Airlines, said: “Our customers told us that they wanted more choice and flexibility in how they spend their time on board, as well as entertainment and connectivity that fit more naturally into their journey. This guided the development of SIA’s next-generation KrisWorld and connectivity offering, which make it easier to discover and enjoy content, stay in touch with loved ones, and move seamlessly between entertainment and other activities during the flight.”

Next-Generation KrisWorld to Debut on Selected Aircraft From 2027

Singapore Airlines will introduce its next-generation KrisWorld system on 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft. These aircraft will enter service progressively from 2027. The upgraded entertainment system will also be available on the airline’s upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft.

The new KrisWorld experience will combine upgraded display technology, improved audio features, a redesigned interface, and personalisation tools. The system will offer more than 2,500 entertainment options, giving customers a wide selection of content throughout their flights.

Customers will be able to pair their personal headphones through Bluetooth. Starlink High-Speed Connectivity to Roll Out From Early 2027

High-speed connectivity will complement the next-generation KrisWorld experience on Starlink-enabled aircraft. The service will allow customers to stream content, stay in touch with loved ones, and continue activities such as social media, gaming, and work during their flights.

Singapore Airlines will introduce Starlink progressively from early 2027 on its Airbus A380, A350-900 long-haul, and A350-900ULR aircraft.

The addition of Starlink connectivity will give customers more options for online entertainment, communication, and other internet-based activities while travelling. Combined with the upgraded KrisWorld system, the service will support greater flexibility in how passengers spend their time on board.

The rollout will take place progressively across the specified aircraft types, beginning in early 2027.

Enhanced In-Flight Experience Forms Part of Wider Cabin Upgrades

The next-generation KrisWorld system and high-speed connectivity are part of Singapore Airlines’ broader plans to enhance its end-to-end travel experience.

Other improvements will include the airline’s next-generation long-haul cabin products, refreshed dining options, new amenities across all cabin classes, and enhanced on-ground services.

These developments will extend the planned improvements across different stages of the customer journey, including on-ground services and the onboard cabin experience.

Singapore Airlines will unveil its new travel experience in Singapore in November 2026. The unveiling will cover the airline’s broader enhancements, including its upgraded entertainment and connectivity offerings, cabin products, dining options, amenities, and on-ground services.

With the next-generation KrisWorld system and Starlink connectivity scheduled for progressive introduction from 2027, Singapore Airlines is preparing to offer customers more entertainment choices, enhanced audio and visual features, and greater flexibility to stay connected during their journeys.
