First Impressions and Check-In
Upon arrival, the friendly staff greeted me with a smile and guided me through the check-in process. I was given a numbered wristband and a pair of slippers for hygiene and comfort. The locker area on the third floor was spacious and clean, perfect for securing personal belongings.

Next, I headed to the shower area, which was stocked with premium toiletries including shampoo, soap, lotions, shaving kits, hairstyling products, and even toothbrushes and toothpaste. After freshening up, guests are provided with large towels before entering the wet area.

The wet area features a wet sauna, two large heated pools, and a small cold pool, ideal for relaxing sore muscles. Phones are not allowed here, and guests wear only the towel provided; swimsuits or underwear are not permitted. At first, being fully naked around others felt awkward, but it quickly became comfortable as everyone was focused on relaxing. Drinking stations and cold towels are available to prevent dehydration, and guests can order fresh fruits or cold drinks if desired. Every time I returned to the locker area from the wet area, the staff dried my feet with fresh towels, a next-level touch of hospitality.
Entertainment and Relaxation Areas
After spending time in the wet area, I was given a clean set of spa clothes and explored the sixth floor, which is filled with entertainment options. This includes the Pigeon Nest and Phoenix Nest capsule-style pods with tablets, lounges, a cinema, an arcade zone, billiards, golf simulators, a beauty salon, and a small book library with both Chinese and English titles. High- and medium-temperature rooms similar to dry saunas are also available. These areas, along with resting halls, create a peaceful and modern environment where you can relax, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy some quiet time.

Massage Experience
I opted for the Aromatherapy Detoxification Spa, a 90-minute in-room massage priced at ₱2,588. Note that they will ask for a tip with a minimum of ₱200 on top of the massage. The room on the fifth floor felt upscale, similar to a high-end hotel, and snacks and drinks were offered while waiting for the therapist. The spa currently provides female therapists for this treatment.

The massage was comfortable and relaxing, comparable to hotel or resort massages, though I personally prefer a harder pressure. The massage oil and hot stone used were high-quality, but the experience was just adequate for someone used to more intense treatments. Overall, the Aromatherapy Detox Spa is still a great way to unwind, and I look forward to trying other massage services on my next visit.

Buffet Dining Experience
After unwinding, I tried the buffet, which is one of Emgrand Spa’s highlights. The selection includes mostly Chinese cuisine, with Japanese and other dishes mixed in. There are dim sum, dumplings, stir-fries, sushi, seafood, roasted meats, fruits, and desserts. Some standout items were lobsters, shrimps, fresh salmon, and even frog legs. The buffet quality rivals some high-end restaurants, and there are also freshly cooked dishes available for an additional fee.

With up to 12 hours to enjoy your stay, you can spend the rest of your time exploring the entertainment areas, lounging in the pods, or revisiting the wet area.

Personal Verdict
I had a fantastic experience at Emgrand Spa. The facilities were immaculate, the wet and dry saunas were perfect for relaxing, and the entertainment areas kept things fun. The capsule pods felt modern and private, and the buffet exceeded expectations. While I prefer harder massage pressure, the Aromatherapy Detoxification Spa provided a soothing experience.
