BDO Unibank, Inc. joined the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) in celebrating the modern-day heroes, the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), at the POEA’s head office in Ortigas Ave., Mandaluyong City, on the occasion of Migrant Workers’ Day 2022. The theme for this year’s event is “OFW, sa Sipag at Galing Bilib Kami Sa’yo,” which honors the contributions and sacrifices of our modern-day heroes.
BDO provided free entertainment to OFWs at the event, courtesy of comedians Lassy and MC from the Beks Battalion.
Meanwhile, at the recent celebration of Migrant Workers’ Day 2022 at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia, BDO Unibank Inc., led by SVP & Remittance Head Genie T. Gloria, was recognized as a social partner by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
Mr. BDO’s Senior Assistant Vice President, Vicente “Teteng” Lopez, also spoke, underlining the significance of saving and the convenience with which money may be sent from overseas via the BDO Kabayan Savings account.
POEA organizes a week-long festival in honor of migrant workers. The BDO has been a strong sponsor of this annual event in honor of the OFWs’ sacrifices for their families and the country.
