After a long wait, I finally got my hands on the new Huawei P30 Pro. Just like the P20 series that was released last year, the new Huawei P30 Pro is equipped with a multi-camera setup co-engineered with a Leica camera lens. But this time, Huawei really leveled up their smartphone camera. Now, the Huawei P30 pro packs a quadruple-camera setup that features a periscope zoom lens.
When the new Huawei P30 series was launched on March 26th in Paris, I was able to get my hands on the new Huawei P30 Pro during the PH live event in Barcino, Uptown Parade BGC and I was literally stunned after looking at the impressive camera capabilities.
The new Huawei flagship camera will change people’s expectations of what smartphone photography is capable of. Seriously, the ability to see in the dark is uncanny. Not to mention, the P30 Pro’s 50x zoom is like having a pair of binoculars on your hands. For someone like me who loves taking photos using my smartphone, this new device is really amazing! So, for that reason alone, I’ve decided I need to upgrade my Huawei P20 to the new P30 Pro.
The Huawei P30 is priced at PHP 36,990 while the Huawei P30 Pro starts at PHP 50,990. Among the default pre-order freebie is the Huawei Watch GT. But just last friday April 5, 2019 Huawei announced that they are taking the hype up a notch by having a ONE DAY ONLY promo starting 11:00AM on April 6, 2019 at the Huawei Experience Store in SM Megamall for the first 40 customers who will pre-order the new Huawei P30 or P30 Pro. Each of them will get a new Huawei M5 Lite on top of the default pre-order freebie. And to top it even further Villman Computers also gave the first 40 customers to pre-order on cash payment an extra Western Digital 1TB HDD for P30 Pro and an iVOOMI Bluetooth Speaker for P30.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite features a brilliant 10.1-inch FHD display powered by the company’s own Kirin 659 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There’s a 7,500mAh battery, which Huawei said will last for about 13 hours of video playback. Equipped with quad speakers that are co-engineered with Harman Kardon, a brand known to deliver professional theater sound quality. Perfect device for binge-watching your favorite Netflix series/movies.
So for someone like me who pre-ordered the new Huawei P30 Pro and was one of the first 40 customers to lineup on the said date I literally got a free Huawei M5 Lite worth Php 18,990 + Huawei GT Watch worth Php 12,990 + an extra Western Digital 1TB HDD worth 3,399 (base on their website) that’s already around Php 35,379 worth of freebies!! That is more than half of the actual SRP of my P30 Pro.
Because Huawei appreciates the time and effort their loyal customers had shown in support of their new Huawei P30 series, the customers who were not able to make the cut for the first 40 customers they still gave the next 40 pre-orders on that day a free additional iVOOMI Bluetooth Headphones limited to the additional 44 customers on that day for FREE still not bad right.
Both P30 and P30 Pro have great specs and game-changing cameras, which are already given, but Huawei made the devices even more attractive to consumers with premium freebies. Definitely the biggest bang-for-the-buck purchase, if not practically a steal.
