Global chocolate brand M&M’S has officially named rising K-pop sensation ILLIT as its Asia ambassadors, introducing them as the new ‘Friends of M&M’S.’ This marks the first time a K-pop group has partnered with the iconic colorful chocolate brand, launching a major regional campaign centered around the brand’s updated tagline, It’s More Fun Together.

ILLIT gained popularity through their viral debut single “Magnetic,” which not only climbed the Billboard Hot 100 but also became a social media sensation for its choreography. Since then, the group has released more music, with their third mini album arriving in 2025, delivering joyful beats, refreshed visuals, and a youthful energy that perfectly reflects the spirit of M&M’S. Their presence continues to resonate strongly with Gen Z audiences across Asia.

M&M’S x ILLIT Collaboration

A Natural Fit for Fun and Color

According to Catherine Yap, Chocolate Marketing Director at Mars Wrigley Asia, ILLIT is a natural match for the brand’s colorful personality and playful mission. “ILLIT’s vibrant music, captivating performances, and their ability to spread positivity mirror M&M’S mission of bringing people together through the power of fun. Each member brings a unique personality that syncs with the colorful cast of M&M’S Spokescandies—Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, Orange, Brown, and Purple—perfectly aligning with our brand message,” she shared.

The collaboration is rooted in shared values. Both ILLIT and M&M’S celebrate individuality, positivity, and togetherness. Through this partnership, M&M’S continues to reinforce its commitment to creating joyful moments through music, entertainment, and connection.

A Joyful Partnership with a Shared History

For the members of ILLIT, this collaboration is personal. “We’ve loved M&M’S since we were kids and they’ve been part of our growing up, so we’re thrilled to be joining them as ambassadors now as ILLIT. The M&M’S x ILLIT campaign officially launches in July 2025 and will be rolled out across key Asian markets, including South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Through this extensive regional activation, fans in multiple countries will be able to engage with the campaign both online and offline.
