DIZO, realme’s TechLife partner, has released its new neckband earphones. The neckband, dubbed the DIZO Wireless Earphones, features the same style as the earphones but with patterns that make it stand out in a sea of wireless earphones. On the pieces that dangle around the neck of the DIZO Wireless, the beehive design is used. The DIZO Wireless Power features bass-centric audio speakers, Bluetooth Fast Pair technology, and long-lasting battery life, among other features.

The DIZO Wireless delivers a lot of benefits for less than Php 1,000, which would undoubtedly appeal to budget-conscious shoppers.

We’re going to take a closer look at the ‘DIZO Wireless’ earphones today. The low-cost wireless neckband is currently available on Lazada for only Php 999. Should you consider buying it? Let’s find out.

Unboxing/Accessories

Straight out of the box, you’ll find the DIZO Wireless Earphones, a (short) Type-C charging cable, user manual, and two more eartips in different sizes (comes in small, medium, and large).

What’s inside the box?

It’s arguably fashionable

If you’ve seen realme earbuds, DIZO won’t appear to be much different. DIZO may appear to be a replica, with the same plasticky neckband, slightly bigger earphones, and control over one side, but there are some differences.

The flexible, lightweight band that you wear around your neck has a smooth surface. Despite being composed of plastic, the bottom housing has a smooth rubbery surface. There is a USB Type-C charging connector on the right side that is not covered by any flap. All of the buttons are on the same side, including a power / multi-function button in between the volume adjustment buttons.

A small LED indicator is also included. The DIZO logo is seen on the left side. The 150mAh battery is also housed here. It can endure sweat and light rain thanks to its IPX4 classification, but it cannot be submerged in water.

The multi-function button can also be used to play or pause music, answer, end, or reject phone calls, change tracks, and enter gaming mode.

In addition, the earphones’ appearance is quite attractive. Each earbud is angled inward for better ergonomics and fits comfortably inside the ear canal. Also, because their design isn’t as bulky as some other headphones, you can wear them for hours without becoming tired of them.

Another advantage is the magnetic rear, which allows you to clip the earbuds together and keep them from swinging around your neck. This also disconnects the earbuds and saves battery life, as you might think.

In terms of design, the DIZO Wireless has a firm rubber-like neckband that fits nicely around the neck without adding too much bulk. It comes with the same realme pit design, which includes everything from in-line controls and a microphone to a USB-C charging connector on the right-hand side.

It’s better than most budget TWS earphones, so far!

The DIZO Wireless includes 11.2mm dynamic speakers, a 20–20,000Hz frequency response range, Bluetooth 5 connectivity, and only supports the SBC Bluetooth codec. For enhanced voice pickup on calls, there is ambient noise cancellation. Water-resistance is rated at IPX4 on the headset.

Throughout our test, we had no problems with connectivity. Likewise, the range provided is excellent, and the earphones maintain strong connectivity overall. We could listen to music on the phone without lag or jitter, even when it was kept in another room.

Game Mode On!

When it comes to latency, the DIZO Wireless shows no signs of lag when streaming on YouTube or Netflix. Furthermore, if you enjoy gaming, there is a dedicated game mode that offers a lag-free gaming experience with 88ms of latency.

We tried a few songs on our Kaskade playlist and a few house tracks. There has a lot of grit thanks to its quick beats and appealing rhythm. It was a little rough around the edges at times. The sound was decent enough; it wasn’t spectacular, but it was pleasant enough to listen to for lengthy periods of time. Overall, it is better than most budget wireless headphones we’ve tested so far.

Realme Link App

You can customize the multifunction button settings on the earphones to suit your preference via the realme Link app. Speaking of, using this app, you can also enable sound effects such as bass boost+, dynamic, and bright, along with a volume enhancer. We still recommend you avoid using any of these modes to preserve the authenticity of the sound in your music.

Decent for moderate use

The DIZO Wireless earphones have a 150 mAh battery that provides an astounding amount of time on a single charge: easily over 10 hours. So, if you’re a moderate user, you may easily use them for 3-4 days before plugging them in. That should suffice for those who spend most of their time listening to music or on Zoom calls.

When it comes to charging, the earbuds have a USB Type-C charging connector, which provides simplicity and faster-charging speeds. We discovered that fully charging the battery takes anything from 2.5 to 3 hours, with a 20 or 30-minute charge providing enough power for at least an hour of operation.
