Foundever™, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, continues to seek opportunities for sustainable pursuits to carve out a brighter and more sustainable future for the local ecosystem in the country.

One of its latest undertakings is a partnership with the provincial government of Tarlac for an environmental restoration project called “Foundever Forest”.

Part of the Provincial Ecotourism Reforestation Program, Adopt-a-Forest, of the provincial government of Tarlac and Governor Susan Yap, the project involves Foundever in Tarlac adopting a hectare-wide land in San Jose, Tarlac for rehabilitation.

The main purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the surrounding area disturbed by the stretch of concrete road from Barangay Bueno, Capas to the boundary of Zambales province by reintroducing native trees in the area.

The first phase of the rehabilitation project involved a clean-up activity with 53 participants from the Foundever in Tarlac team to prepare the area for planting permanent native forest trees. Foundever in Tarlac is set to care and maintain the adopted land for the next three years.

“At the heart of this project is our commitment to be a force for good while also empowering our associates to protect the environment, especially in the community where we live and work,” said Director of Operations – Track Trainee and Cluster Engagement Champion at Foundever, Rachel Ramos, about the project.

“As the project gains momentum, it serves as a testament to the transformative power of collaboration,” she added. “We are determined to continue taking steps towards a greener, more sustainable future, one that protects the planet and uplifts the lives of the people.”

After the clean-up drive last July, Foundever soon followed with the second phase of the restoration project, the tree planting activity joined by 160 associates from Foundever in Tarlac.

Foundever worked with the provincial government of Tarlac Environment and Natural and Resources Office as well as the Laoang Nursery for the activity. The tree planting efforts resulted in 300 seedlings, consisting of Aguho, Narra, and Kupang, successfully planted in the adopted area.

“A healthy environment is a step toward a holistic and sustainable development” said Ashley Espinueva, Senior Operations Manager and Corporate Social Responsibility – Point of Contact at Foundever in Tarlac.

“This rehabilitation project emphasizes the crucial role that businesses can play to drive a positive environmental change,” he noted. “This hopefully showcases the potential for economic growth to coexist with environmental sustainability.”

The rehabilitation project is one of the many environmental initiatives driven by Foundever. Just this year, the company partnered with the municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of Noveleta, Cavite to hold a coastal clean-up drive at Long Beach, Brgy. San Rafael IV, Cavite. Foundever in Baguio also participated in the annual plogging challenge at Burnham Park in celebration of Earth Day.

Moreover, the Foundever in Cebu proudly stands as the only BPO site in the country that uses 100% renewable energy sourced from the windmills in Ilocos and the solar farms in Negros, resulting in millions of pesos worth of renewable energy savings.
