At Tomatito Estancia in Pasig, the moment you step through the door, you’re met with the energy of a lively Spanish evening. Think Flamenco: bold, rhythmic, passionate, and full of flair. The restaurant captures that spirit with interiors that are vibrant, cinematic, and unmistakably Spanish.
One standout detail that immediately catches the eye is the film poster of Matador by acclaimed Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, displayed proudly by the bar. This nod to Spanish cinema brings an artistic and dramatic layer to the overall aesthetic, adding depth and personality. Around the restaurant, you’ll find vintage vinyl records, pop-art-inspired posters, and brightly colored fans and floral garlands decorating the walls, evoking the playful energy of a Spanish street fiesta.
The lighting is warm and atmospheric, thanks to the woven rattan pendant lamps that hang over booths and tables. With a combination of dark wood, red accents, and stylish leather seating, the entire restaurant feels cozy yet vibrant. Every corner is designed to invite celebration, conversation, and good food.
Flavorful Dishes and Friendly Service
Tomatito’s charm doesn’t stop at its interiors. Their staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home from the first hello to the last dish served. Attentive, cheerful, and knowledgeable about the menu, the service made a great impression, just like the food.
Among everything we tried, two dishes stood out as absolute must-orders. The Gambas al Ajillo, a sizzling serving of shrimp cooked in garlic, olive oil, chili, and white wine, was rich, aromatic, and incredibly satisfying.
Then there’s the unforgettable Salmon TNT, a creative dish that lives up to its explosive name. Made with smoked salmon, honey, and truffle, it delivers an intense, indulgent flavor that’s best experienced when you pop the entire piece in your mouth. Don’t nibble—just go all in. As you bite down, the creamy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors burst all at once, making for a delicious surprise that lingers in the best way possible.
We also enjoyed:
- Filete Air Baguette – steak and manchego cheese wrapped in a crisp, airy shell
- Mini Tacos de Trufa y Setas – rich truffle and mushroom tacos with grated manchego
- Paella Valenciana – a comforting blend of chicken, rosemary, and beans cooked into golden Spanish rice
- Paella El Chiringuito – brimming with clams, shrimp, mussels, and squid, topped with alioli sauce
- Chipirones Andaluza – crispy baby squid with a punchy kimchi mayo
- Manchego Cheesecake – light, creamy, and subtly sweet with quince jelly and vanilla ice cream
Each dish was thoughtfully presented and packed with flavor. Every course gave us something to rave about.
