Huawei recently launched a budget-friendly version of the Watch GT 2 in the Philippines, the Watch GT 2e.
The new Huawei smartwatch is made of stainless steel with 5 ATM water resistance up to 50 meters (it can handle swimming and showering) and a flexible TPU strap that completes its flawless unibody design. It is equipped with a 1.39-inch AMOLED high precision touch display which is crisp and colourful at 326ppi, allowing users to see the details clearly even in strong sunlight.
Unboxing/Accessories
Inside the box, you will see the Huawei Watch GT 2e, a USB-A to USB-C data/charging cable, a USB-C charging dock with pins, and a user guide.
Build Quality/Design
The new Huawei Watch GT 2e looks more sporty than its predecessor. It also features a new TPU strap that gives it a more athletic look. Plus, it comes in 4 different colorways, the original Graphite Black and Lava Red and the new Mint Green and Icy White options.
The Watch GT 2e weighs 43 grams, without the strap. I also noticed that Huawei replaced the two crown button controls with sleeker rectangular buttons on the side of the 46mm case. The body is made with 316L grade stainless steel giving it a sharper and minimalist finish than its predecessor.
Just like the previous smartwatch GT series the new GT 2e offers vibrant colors and has sharp details. It has a bright 1.39-inch AMOLED HD touch display with a crisp 454 x 454 resolution at 326 ppi.
It also comes with a wide range of stylish, functional, and interactive watch faces, making it the perfect companion for young techies who wish to look unique and hip at all times. Personally, I really like the new feature where you can add your own photo or logo as your watch face.
The new GT 2e comes with heart rate tracking, sleep monitoring, and Huawei’s TruRelax tech. It also has over 100 workout modes (85 custom workout modes and 15 professional workout modes) to help you track everything from running to various exercises.
To get started, you just need to connect the device to your smartphone by simply downloading the Huawei Health App which is available on both Google Play Store or the App Store. Once downloaded, you just need to open your Bluetooth, then open the Huawei Health App and click on devices to pair your new GT 2e watch with your smartphone.
