In case you missed it, vivo Philippines recently launched its newest addition to the Y Series line-up, the vivo Y35. The new vivo Y35 comes with a 6.58-inch FHD+ Sunlight readable display with 2408 x 1080 resolution and a high refresh rate of 90Hz. Inside is the 6nm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor, Adreno 610 GPU, 8GB RAM, 256GB of internal storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W Fast Charging. It also has an “Extended RAM” that gives an extra up to 8GB RAM using its internal storage for a total of up to 16GB RAM.
We recently got the chance to test out the new vivo Y35 and here’s our first impression on yet again another amazing product from vivo.
Unboxing/Accessories
The vivo Y35 comes in the familiar white vivo box with the “Y35” in metallic silver font and the vivo branding they also added the key features of the device at the bottom part of the box. Inside the box, you will find the vivo Y35 handset, 44W FlashCharge, USB Type-A to USB Type-C data/charging cable, TPU dark translucent case for protection, paper documentation, and the SIM ejector tool. Unfortunately, the vivo Y35 doesn’t have earphones in the box, you have to buy it separately.
Build Quality/Design
The vivo Y35 features a lightweight design, measuring 8.28mm thin and weighing only 182g with symmetrical rounded corners for a comfortable grip. The Dawn Gold colorway is really absolutely gorgeous to look at, as you can see in these pictures. The matte glittering finish isn’t at all a smudge magnet, and the back has a slight feel that feels somewhat like touching fine crystals. This, combined with a metal frame with curved edges, gives us a phone that not only feels expensive but also one of which you can be proud when taking it with you.
On the right side of the vivo Y35, we have the volume rocker above the power key and on the left side is just a smooth surface.
On the bottom you will see a 3.5mm audio jack, mic, USB Type-C port and the speaker grills.
The SIM tray can carry up to two nanoSIM cards and one microSD card and it features a rubber gasket. This indicates a form of water and dust resistance.
Camera
As far as the cameras are concerned, the Vivo Y35 is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera, 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an LED flash while the front is a 16-megapixel selfie camera.
Overall, the vivo Y35’s camera performance is above-average considering its low price tag.
