Worldwide K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK is back here in Manila again, this time for a special meet-and-greet event last night June 6 at the SM Samsung Hall, BGC, Taguig City.
The all-girl K-Pop group is back after their successful concert last February, but this time they are back for a special meet and greet event with Shopee Philippines.
They had the crowd going wild as soon as they took the stage. Screams echoed across the hall the minute Blackpink started to enter the stage. The girls took turns to greet their PH BLINKs in Filipino and expressed their excitement to be back here in Manila.
Meanwhile, Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis who is a certified BLINK and Maymay Entrata was spotted at the event.
I know it will never be enough… 💔 but I’ll do my best to post as many vids for you guys sa IG ko…🖤💗 I see your tweets. Big hugs blinks!

Unfortunately, some Blinks weren’t able to go to the special meet-and-greet event. Several fans alleged they were denied entry despite scoring tickets by spending tens of thousands of pesos and became increasingly worried that they were “scammed” hence the hashtag #ShopeeScam
Shopee’s special meet and greet event for BLACKPINK fans is currently making waves on Twitter, but probably not in the way the e-commerce site wants.
Responding to the concerns, Shopee Philippines apologized in an official statement:
For avid fans known as Blinks, this event is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to interact with their favorite K-pop idols, and because of this incident it broke the hearts of Blinks. Some Blinks even came from provincial parts of the country just to get a glimpse of their idol. However, Shopee broke their hearts as they realize they can’t see their idols even after spending all that money.
SHOPEE TOOK MY TICKET AWAY FROM ME.
The pain I’m experiencing right now is unbearable. I just want to see BLACKPINK and I believe that my dreams will come true. But they took it away.
